Replaced the washer fluid pumps on our Trailblazer. Front was leaking and rear wasn't working at all. Good thing they are right next to each other, though this somehow did not stop me from mistakenly installing them switched around at first. Found that the tubing for the rear had also popped out of a coupler too, which was a PITA to get to. But once I had access, just pushed it back into the coupler. I put a dab of silicon sealant on it to prevent from popping out again. All tested no leaks! 🤘😀

Certainly your Trailblazer is newer than my 95 Trooper, but I had the same experience performing the same washer-pump swap-out. I'm assuming that the tubing used today is essentially the same: a clear flexible plastic. I still have the originals, but despite their brownish discoloration, they're still fine and I also applied some silly-cone sealant.

I looked into the Chevy Trailblazer online, aroused by your post. I'm extensively window-shopping. The 2023 example I saw with bright yellow paint had astounding gas mileage, and I'm starting to wonder of pursuing a Hybrid or PHEV choice in my next new(er) vehicle is a worthwhile standard.

Ours is 2004! I'll have replaced almost all of these things that go kaput after 15 or 20 years soon enough! It will be almost like new again.

We had a shop do the struts and shocks, springs, bushings last fall because I lack some of that equipment. The tubing for washer fluid are black rubberized tubing, at least the segments I can see. No opinion on the new Trailblazer platform.

Just had a look-see for your 2004. That thing almost LOOKS LIKE my Trooper. But where do they put the spare wheel -- underneath?! I THINK that Chevy re-branded a mid-90s Isuzu but still called it a Trooper. No -- just checking -- the Chevy Trooper goes back before the mid-90s, which was just another incarnation.

I'd say 21 years is a long enough interval on those front-end parts. I did all my front-end work in 2018.

Ahh . . . and 2021 because of the defective MOOG ball-joints unfortunately installed in 2018 . . .

Hey! Does your Chev have a GM or GMC motor? I mean . . . . shouldn't it wouldn't it couldn't it? Or maybe they just "called it" a Chevy engine? or it had the same basic design?

Spare wheel is underneath.
Good. So I hope you haven't lost any special tool to remove it? I'm still trying to figure what to do for my 95 Nissan Pickup SE. I'll put some more pressure on sources which might have that tool.

We have the 4200 Vortec (Atlas), in-line six. EXT version of the Trailblazer. Still have all the tools for the spare.

Sounds like your TrailBlazer has a status like my Trooper. Tip-top, ree-stored and ready-to-run!
I tossed in an air filter too because I had to take out that air box anyway in order to get to the windshield washer pumps. In 2023, replaced the air conditioning accumulator with hose and valve, climate control panel (interior), recharged (with oil). Ready for summer! We hardly drive it though and never take it on trips anymore than 50 miles.

Watching Youtube 'how-to' videos apparently filmed where they get some snow in the winter and use salt on the roads or possibly very close to the sea coast. Being in CA the underbody and chassis of our Trailblazer looks great compared to some of the ones in the videos look like they are not even safe to be driving, about ready to fall apart from rust!

That's what they say . . . get a car with an engine from Minnesota and a body from CA, then your vehicle will have "longevity."
