I don't agree with it, but there is a school of thought that given that Kamala Harris lost EVERY battleground, and outright lost the national PV, Joe Biden would've outperformed her. Obviously we'll never know for sure, but IMHO neither was our best option in 2024.

I don't see a problem with involvement so much as I do attachment to results. I try to tell the truth as I see it with out expectations anybody will listen. Spiritual endeavors often include isolation from the world because it helps to break habits and attachments. I am done with being super on top of political discussion, it's too tiring and destroying my mental health. I check a couple of news sources during the day, so I know what is going on - but besides a random reddit post a few times a week, I don't talk much politics online anymore.
As we all know the Trump party is evil - but a lot of Dems have become stupidly insufferable - they still defend Biden and the establishment and refuse to really self-examine the party - just feeling fine that the Dems were obviously better than Trump so it can't be their fault. Even telling them the opposition party bears responsibility for being a good opposition party and that affects outcomes is too much for them to handle. Even after Biden, his inner circle, and the establishment Dems obscene cover up and hideous deception is totally revealed - they still toe the party line! The Dems are a corrupted, archaic, incompetent, and inept opposition party. It's been four months and they show zero signs of any growth or evolution, in fact, they are going the other way - and they are their own little cult. Sure they are not evil like MAGA but they are in a cult and also super willfully ignorant about politics - so why bother with another kind of political cult, just not as evil?
Business is gonna be rough this year especially due to Trump's economy, but I have a lovely woman friend who I've been dating now for five months and we have been to the ballet, the MOTH, movies, all kinds of food places, all great stuff and a lot more things coming up with the good weather. I'm going to focus on that and my friend and family circle, including a trip to northern Italy in the summer. I will volunteer a little bit for a few candidates I like, and after the June gubernatorial primary in NJ on June 10th, I will rid myself of being a registered member of the D party - they are really just an insulting party to be a part of. I can't wait for that moment. To be independent, literally, from the D party name, it's gonna be a lovely day.
If there are good primary candidates in the next couple years to get rid of any feckless corrupt inept Dems near me, I will try to get involved to get some of these D failures out of office. Other than that I'm going to try to keep it low on political discussion online - and just talk about it with people I know. While of course I am in a Republican-free circle, I am also lucky to be in a circle that is free of establishment D cultists as well.

Post Election I stopped all national news. I really mean it only national news stations I have seen since then are passing moments like I am somewhere and CNN is on. I feel the national players are nearly criminal in their 2024 election coverage. I refuse to give them views or clicks.
