It was a bit of luck of the draw based on where my wife applied to and was interviewed for residency (however, we would have been okay moving to any of the places she applied to; there were no insane red states in the mix, especially given her selected specialty).Congrats on the move to Maine. A mix of the belief that they are temporarily impoverished rich people, and that the benefits that taxes cover are illegitimately flowing to the wrong people, so cuts shouldn't hurt "the right people".Yeah, I'm going to benefit personally from the tax cuts.
