I actually don't have a problem with his book; and do not understand the hostility towards him. Having said that I would like a more points on Trump administration illegal behavior - of course it has gotten so bad it is hard to decide what to cover first.
Part of the problem with the book is the timing: if things were so bad and you knew about them, why sit on it until you have a book? Part of it is, I don't think this is the conversation to be pushing when (insert everything Trump is doing). And part of it is just some of the stupidity in the reporting/framing, like the suggestion that the president would need a wheelchair if he got hurt - like no shit, that happens to older people all the time, and it's also why there is a backup president in the form of the vice president. There also didn't seem to be any strong indication that he was losing it to the degree that this book is pushing.
It's really just the complete lack of interest in covering Trump for who he really is and what he actually does/rambles about, or the fact that people in his close orbit in government are all public besties with white known white supremacists and racists and we barely hear a peep.
Btw you all read their attempt to block all foreign students from Harvard including those currently enrolled.
Yes. Just more illegal actions. And they also have canceled students GRFPs if they were going to attend Harvard (GRFP = graduate research fellowship program; very prestigious funding to win if you're a graduate student, and it follows the student). Just complete malice from the administration, who are mafia-style trying to send a message to more tuition-dependent universities to get in line. And also just totally screwing American soft power and future economic output for no reason (scientific funding and training is not something you can just flip on and off).
