Conservatives don't do deep and they don't do liberal. They do victim mentality and rationalizing immature egos.
But belittling them for this is pointless. They suffer victim mentality because they were victimized as children and had to learn to blame others for the pain they could not express or get even for with the people who victimized them. That's where the real brainwashing happened. Now its just vampires using their hurt to fatten their wallet that sell them the hatred of others they will pay to feel.

What we want from the Constitution and all branches of government is Justice for Trump and his crimes. We want accountability, when accountability and punishment is our only comfort at this point. For starters, 34 convictions by Judge Merchan's court with no material consequence to conviction just falls far short, when there were 94 felony charges, levied by a myriad of prosecuting attorneys in about six different, independent jurisdictions at the local (SDNY and Atlanta), state (NY and GA), and federal (DC and FL) levels. Does anyone know how much in the compensation judgment under NY AG Letitia James has been recouped from Trump?

You can call them "defective brains". They may not be "defective", but they aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.
There is a combination of ignorance, stupidity and brainwash-preparation that creates this type of thinker.
If they've chosen a religion that has no taint at all of Jesuitical values, they are constantly drilled on the Bible being the only important source of Truth. There may be conflicting interpretations of the Bible, but in this or that community of these one-book cultists their interpretation or that of their religious teacher -- an Elmer Gantry of sorts -- becomes the established way of reading the only book on their shelf. But religion is only one possible breeding ground.
If they accept an extreme Right-wing Ideology, often promoted by the religious groups as well, they have elevated Belief and a Belief system to supreme validity in their social world. They are not "scientific"; they don't believe in scientific method, and scientific method is just common sense. It enables people to discard beliefs and adopt new ones as more facts and factual inferences become available. But this sort of thinking becomes difficult for them.
In adopting this way of thinking, they can't venture from the cocoon of their thinking into a world of uncertainty. They simply refuse to deal with uncertainty in a routine context, because it complicates the simplicity of following a Dogma.
So they can't accept the simple common sense that nobody has a monopoly on the Truth -- for instance -- that Marx's Kapital contains Truthful observations about "class struggle". So they simply refuse to see the existence of class struggle, and all of Kapital is false. In fact, they may of discarded Kapital without reading it, by dismissing the Great Historical Disaster of the Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels. If one work of literature is a disastrous threat and contradiction to Liberal values and free thought, they have to dismiss all the works by Marx.
Therefore, all thinking in the stew-pot of the Democratic Party -- with many people holding to various differing views -- is False and unacceptable.
Therefore, there can be no Reverence for a system that allows all sides to share in the dialogue, with a process that makes it possible to pursue "a little of this and a little of that". And politics becomes a zero-sum game. The Righties think that it's a Zero Sum game, even if voting margins are often narrow, so they pursue a One Winner Takes All approach to winning.
But the Constitution is written to allow competition among conflicting ideas. Yet we have a Vice President who simply declares that Justice Roberts is Wrong, because he and his Fuhrer are Right, and nobody else can be Right.
Does that begin to establish a foundation for answering this question?
