"Medicaid Fraud" is GOP code for kicking people off of medicaid or implement "work requirement" programs that are ineffective and cost far more than they save.
Meanwhile they have gutted the ability for the government to address fraud from providers which is far higher.
It's about a war on poor people not addressing "fraud" or "over payments".

Every study has shown medicare/medicaid overpayments in the low single digits. Meanwhile private insurance has rates upwards of thirty percent. As for your second assertion, I'm gonna need some evidence that shows a problem widespread enough to justify throwing millions of people off of health care.

I understand that improper payments are not always fraud or abuse. A lot of the time it is administrative documentation issues. I don't see where you get the "low single digits" from. Either way it needs to be corrected.
As for the millions getting thrown off health care it is because they are ineligible for medicare / medicaid. That is what the goal is remove those that do not qualify.
