Why do I get the feeling that you are to metals what cookie monster is to cookies? The USPS put 34 pounds of lead into my mailbox which gave it a... tilt. At least they delivered the package.
Pro tip:
You can take one of those kitchen tap faucet filters apart, and remove the charcoal. Replace that with shaved lead, and reinstall. Makes the water taste sweet. Kids love it!
R is for Roto203, that's good enough for me!Why do I get the feeling that you are to metals what cookie monster is to cookies?

Pretty affordable. Are you stocking up before the price increases for whatever reason(s)?
I thought Amazon is not safe for SD cards because they mix inventory, thus it doesn't matter if the seller is Amazon or someone else using Amazon to ship their stuff.Bought a 1.5TB sd card. Can't get it to work. Don't know if it's the device it's in (it's not a standard kind of device), or if the card is fake (was direct from Amazon, which is usually safe). Fully testing one this size with h2testw will take 20 hours at least. The alternative card that I ordered (that I could use to confirm if it's the device or the card) has been "delayed" with the courier and now won't arrive for days.

Hope you didn't get a Sandisk one as someone there is describing it as a turd. Samsung seems to have better reputation but you need to get the EVO Select one. Just searched and there doesn't seem to be a Samsung 1.5TB card so you most likely got the Sandisk one.
Oh yeah, the heating up part definitely sounds like a familiar Sandisk problem. I once got a tiny 32GB Sandisk drive (barely larger than the USB-A connector) and it lasted only a day or two. Froze in the middle of the transfer and went into permanent write-protect mode so now it contains some of that data and I can't write anything more to it. When I took it out of the USB port, it almost burnt my finger. That's also probably why their all metallic USB drives fare better as the heat has some surface area to actually dissipate rather than cook the PCB and chips.(I guess "overheating" is a possibilty, given how erratic and inconsistent its behaviour is).
Maybe for super HD dash cam footage?I can't fathom needing a 1.5TB sd card.
Library might still have a computer with cdrom driveI requested my medical records from my orthopedist for stuff on my knees - an MRI and x-rays included. They sent me a fucking CD lol I can't remember last time I had an optical drive. Even my five year old laptop has no optical drive.
SO now I have to buy a USBC optical drive
So I bought a USB optical drive to grab the data off of the CD, figured I'd return the drive afterwards, and the CD won't work. It launches the built in app to look at the images with, but then gives an error code. Both on my desktop and laptop, whether direct from the CD drive or after copied to a hard drive.I requested my medical records from my orthopedist for stuff on my knees - an MRI and x-rays included.
