But going to the site it seems they only have ones with options pushing the price back up. Going to the store on Friday for a test drive. Hoping you can place an order or something. Ideally I would like to leas and buy but it seems the residual would be pretty high. Looked at buy used but didn't see any of the Air Pures on the site.

Took the test drive. It's a nice car. Only complaint I had was the A pillar blocks too much of your vision on the left. The cars they had though were all with extra features so a bit higher than what I was willing to pay. But I'll keep an eye out for future incentives.

They increased the incentives for June so I placed a deposit. Looks like I'll be going electric before the end of the month. Now I need to figure out home charging.

Congrats! I don't know anything about the cars, but when I see one I think, that is a sharp looking car,.

Home charging is a fucking rabbit hole. I just hope your panel is near your garage. Mine isn't........ The only thing I would recommend is if you have to run the power and you have the choice of plug or hardwire, if you are the least bit handy have then hardwire it. I had them put in a plug, this requires a GFCI breaker. It has tripped every time have charged my car. They are going to change out the breaker but this will always be in the back of my mind, did the breaker trip overnight? After they change out the breaker I might go ahead and put in a regular breaker and hardwire in my charger so I don't have to worry about that.

Yea the plan is to get Lucid's charge and have it hardwired in. My breaker is in the basement but a few of my neighbors have chargers and it doesn't seem like it was a problem getting the line from the basement to the garage.

Congrats on the new ride! You're going to love going electric. I did about 2.5 years ago and I don't know if I'll ever go back. This is just a suggestion so take it or leave it. You should reconsider the Lucid EVSE and look for better more capable and cheaper alternatives. For $1200 the Lucid EVSE is way overpriced.

They give a $650 rebate for it so it's not as bad. I want to ensure that bi-directional is possible if they ever bring it to the Air.

Sure completely understandable but are you also going to install the other hardware required for a "if they ever" situation? Anyway, like I said it was just a suggestion so take it at face value. I just wanted you to be aware that there are other solutions that offer the same or better functionality.

In the end the EVSE is the backend part so whatever you decide to go with will work just fine. The more fun part is the car and how amazing it will be when you get it!
