Its so bad that a Russian publication posted an article last week warning that excessive potato consumption can lead to health issues....
Wow, so famine in Russia coming? The irony is amazing. Ukraine has not forgotten the Holodomor:

The Holodomor was a man-made famine that occurred in Soviet Ukraine from 1932 to 1933. The term "Holodomor" is derived from Ukrainian words meaning "death by hunger" or "killing by starvation".
And that "man-made famine" was produced by Joseph Stalin:
  • Engineered famine: It was deliberately caused by the Soviet government under Joseph Stalin.
  • Targeting Ukraine: The famine was particularly deadly in Ukraine due to political decrees and decisions specifically aimed at the region. Stalin and his regime systematically seized Ukraine's grain and farms, transferring them to other parts of the Soviet Union as a tactic to repress Ukraine's national identity.
  • Devastating impact: Millions of Ukrainians died from starvation, with estimates of the death toll ranging from roughly 3.5 million to 10 million. At the height of the famine in June 1933, it's estimated that 28,000 Ukrainians were dying daily.
  • Focus on rural population: The primary victims were rural farmers and villagers, who constituted a large portion of Ukraine's population at the time.
  • Hidden truth: The Soviet regime attempted to conceal the truth about the famine from the world.

Once again, Hungary is just determined to be on the wrong side of history no matter what.

Orban vowed to 'do everything' to prevent Ukraine from joining EU.

"Ukraine would suck up every euro, forint and zloty that we have spent so far on strengthening European families, European farmers, and European industry. ... In 10 years, I would not be able to answer my conscience to myself, my grandchildren, or the country if I did not do everything now to protect Hungary and the European Union from the Brussels fever dream of Ukrainian accession."

A wider war in Europe would be magnitudes more expensive, for everyone, you fucking putz. How dare a people fighting for their existence jeopardize your suckling at that Euro tit, right? The nerve.

Orban and Putin are allies. The EU should switch out Hungary for Ukraine.

Actually, Orban is simply afraid of the consequences of his pathetic policy, which boils down to sucking russia’s dick instead of developing competitive and independent markets. He understands that if russia loses, it will cease to support him. As a result, when Ukraine is admitted to the EU, we will become significant competitors in many areas. Just give us 10–15 years of calm, peaceful development, and we could become one of the richest countries in Eastern Europe.

The GOP also has an unending hardon for Orban and are very specifically and transparently trying to push American down the path of what he has done in Hungary over more than a decade. They are purposefully slow-walking fascism with hundreds of little cuts. No American should ever forget where the loyalties of Republican voters lie.

But as Trump is trying to apply a sledge hammer to the job, lot's hope that his reckless speed in the process allows enough of them to wake up and reject the fascist shitgibbon. I'm not holding my breath--these are the dumbest motherfuckers that have ever lived, anywhere.

We should have a thread that just list every stupid thing the Trump administration does or say each day. I realize that some days might take 10000s of pages but it would at least be more concise list

Personally I prefer not to judge a whole population based on their leader of their country.
Let's face reality: if in Hungary the majority of citizens were against sucking russia’s dick, then no one, including Orban, would be allowed to do what he’s doing. That doesn’t mean all Hungarians support it, but at the very least, it shows there are very few who do, or they simply don’t care.

Don’t fear your enemies – in the worst case, they can kill you. Don’t fear your friends – in the worst case, they can betray you. Fear the indifferent – they neither kill nor betray, but only with their silent consent do betrayal and murder exist in the world.

It works kinda the same everywhere. If you’re talking about Trump and his actions, it’s at least noticeable that quite a lot of Americans don’t share his political views, they take to the streets in protest, and so on. Maybe I’m out of context with what’s happening in Hungary, and the same is true there. I'd be happy to be wrong and take back my words. But if I’m not mistaken, Orban has been Prime Minister of Hungary since 2010, and his views haven’t really changed much since then.

Ukrainians are in DC this week. Mostly with the goal of getting the administration to ok sales of weapons they want to purchase, primarily air defense.

Like ten thousand GBU-38/Bs would be nice too.

Also video proof that they found some A-50s that probably have nice holes in their radar domes now.

The claims that over a dozen aircraft were totally destroyed and another 30-some badly damaged seem pretty credible. All in all this is an insane blow to Russian strategic aviation.

I feel like they toasted at least three A-50s on that one field. Heard the bill for the drones used came to $57k. Haven't seen that confirmed but sounds about right really. Such an epic ass kicking, and the zero losses part too

I think the new videos posted by SBU corroborates likely damage to 40+ frames, total destruction to maybe 25% of that number.

As to the $7B quoted that is probably replacement cost if the Russians could even build replacements which they can't. The damage done to the Tu95M fleet is certainly the most important and it looks like their most active planes got hit real hard in the total loss category. If the A-50s are inoperable now also, as seems likely, this is a major loss to Russia's very limited AEWC fleet.

The one thing that really bothers me is how Russia seems to be in Denial that it started this war.

Or maybe mainstream media simply doesn't care about peaceful demonstrations in Hungary, with all the other sh*t going down... :/

Etc...

I didn't judge any Hungarians other than Orban, and I judged Orban correctly.

Personally I prefer for the EU to stand up for democracy, and adding Ukraine right now would be great. Hungary, through their fascist leader Orban, is not an ally to democracy or the EU.
