Looks like L3Harris is going to supply Ukraine with more of the excellent VAMPIRE systems. No idea how many, but I hope it's a few hundred at least. APKWS is the business and it will saves lives.

So the prisoner swaps are happening, but this sick, evil regime of Putin's can't collapse fast enough.

Russian POWs get medical, food, clothing and shelter. Ukrainian POWs get tortured and starved. That's "Glory to Russia" they branded on this Ukrainian POW while mutilating him.

Opec plus is increasing production of oil by 411000 barrels per day for July. ;-)

You have to wonder if OPEC has the production means to cover any short falls in global oil production if say fragments from Ukrainian drones took out most of Russia's oil production.

I guess this would irritate Trump to an nth degree for daring to disrupt his beautiful economic schemes by boosting gas prices.

Previously... Russia declares that only the death of NATO will end the war.
Now, NATO's leadership has a sobering fact about Russia's military economy, and the support of its Allies.

Rutte warned: “Putin is preparing for confrontation, not peace,” and Russia could be ready to use force against NATO within five years.

Its military industry is being rebuilt with help from Iran, China, and North Korea. This year alone, Russia is expected to produce 1,500 tanks, 3,000 armored vehicles, and 200 Iskander missiles.

I was under the impression that Russia could barely make any vehicles much less a tank???

I believe Russia started up production of their older tanks. I don't believe they are doing large volume production of their latest ie T-14 Armata. I think its still boutique volume, if any.

They are doing massive amounts of drones though.

Its getting to the point that Ukraine needs laser anti-drone efforts with a 6-10km range. And they needed them yesterday.

The only tank in actual production is the T-90. The T-14 will never enter serious serial production because it is a complete disaster of a system.

Everything else is refurbishment of old ex-soviet stockpiles.

Trump doesn’t understand that the U.S. is a high priced producer. Yes, we produce a lot of oil and gas but we are also the first bit by falling oil prices. Trump can’t have both low prices and high domestic production.

The same way he has cooked the books so we're not losing jobs in the economy.. but wants the fed to lower rates because we're losing jobs??

Well at least he's consistent in being a dumbass!

Thinking the T-14 might require modern electronics that they cannot source due to restrictions

If it can't start with a modern engine everything else is irrelevant IMO. T-14 is even more of a non issue than the Su-57, another flop made to sound imposing, though a less severe flop I will admit.

But the wait for electronics just got longer for other things. Hit them allll the way back in Chuvashia. Heh. That's 1,300km behind the border.

"June 9 (Reuters) - A Ukrainian drone strike, among the deepest into Russia in more than three years of the war, forced a temporary suspension of production at an electronics company in the Volga river region of Chuvashia, the head of the region said on Monday."

"Ukraine's military said in a Telegram statement on Monday that "at least two drones" hit the VNIIR facility that specialises in manufacturing navigation equipment used in attack drones, guided aerial bombs and high-precision weapons."

I believe that VNIIR place makes components used in Russian EW systems. So... *Hans Gruber* Hit it again.

It's never worked right largely due to insane corruption in just about every corner of its development. Similar issues and massive overpromising have plagued many modern Russian weapons systems.

I absolutely care about any nato member being attacked. Russia can FAFO. Shit I would be fine if nato responded to nukes used in Ukraine.

The point is US is not going to risk war with Russia over a attack on Finland or Sweden or any other EU country.

And why would they? They just got their asses handed to them by the Houthi’s:

A Navy fighter jet fell overboard Monday when the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier veered to avoid fire from the Houthis, according to two defense officials.

The military was using the $60 million jet as part of its weekslong campaign against Houthi fighters in Yemen, who have attacked commercial and military shipping in the waterway for the past two years.

Ah yes, the US is quaking in fear of the mighty Russian military. After all this elite fighting force defeated Ukraine in three days, right? It is pretty funny to watch you try and spin this as your three day war is in its fourth year and Russia has suffered close to a million casualties in something they were apparently stupid enough to think would be easy.

Regardless, you're right that the US doesn't want to fight Russia but that's because you aren't worth the time or effort. We would much prefer you simply stop invading your neighbors and attend to your country's problems.

You make it sound as if NATO members’ hands are tied if the US vetoes any Article 5 response. Sure, Russia may not ever face the full weight of a 32 member NATO response (along with all of the command and control coordination) as long as Trump and Hegseth are in charge, but Germany, Poland, and France alone (nevermind Finland and other strongly equipped EU nations) would be more than enough to obliterate Russia on the battlefield.

In case you all needed another reminder on which country has the best defense industry in the world, the NATO head himself is telling you it’s Russia.
