I was lucky enough to catch the last 3 minutes of it. Unbelievable.Turned the Pacers Thunder game off at the beginning of the 4th quarter because I thought the game was over.
It is but don't tell her that to her face. You'll be in trouble!Yes dear, it is funny.
The screws that hold M2 drives are in a league of their own. Popular Mechanics, circa 1995: "Scientists at MIT report that they were able to carve a functional screw using the beam of an electron microscope. The researchers say that the screws could find uses in future computer assembly."Why is it that the tiny, teensy-weensy, screws used in electronic gadget housings and the like, have such an incredible capacity to disappear if you drop one (or it falls off the end of your insufficiently-magnetised screwdriver)? Lost so many of the things over the years - you just hear them go 'tap-tap' as they hit the surface of the desk or table and bounce, and you look down and there's no sign of them. Occasionally, scrabbling around on the floor for hours (a longer time than the things are worth, of course, but one has to fit in a lot of swearing and cursing and invocations of the Gods) will lead to finding one of them (probably _not_ the one you just dropped, but maybe the one you dropped last week), but most of the time they just disappear into some hole in the fabric of the universe and are never seen again.
I lost about an hour when I built my Ryzen because of this. Damn screw fell into the mobo and got lodged somewhere. I frantically turned it over many times and shook it like hell. In the end, I resorted to bumping the case with the mobo inside it, against the floor, in the hope of getting the screw lose. Nothing happened. I was extremely agitated because I wanted to boot the system on THAT day and didn't want to risk a short circuit because of that damn screw. I was at my wit's end and considering dismantling everything to find the screw when suddenly it came out. Just like that. I literally thanked God from the bottom of my heart. Why is it that the tiny, teensy-weensy, screws used in electronic gadget housings and the like, have such an incredible capacity to disappear if you drop one (or it falls off the end of your insufficiently-magnetised screwdriver)?
In my case, that's where I think the screw fell, as it was a fanless PSU with plenty of wide holes for airflow.Did it fall inside the power supply, ready to cause a fire? In a fan?
Mouse clicking is dangerous work.I performed manual labor and got a blister. I’m a knowledge worker, damn it!
The labor produced a successful outcome: the sotol stalk is no more.
Murder case? Any penalty for failing to show up?I guess the summons is going in the trash(?)
I have no idea what the case is about. I'm not sure what the penalty is for not showing in CA. I've never missed one before but this kinda pissed me off so I'm about to not research anything lolMurder case? Any penalty for failing to show up?
I sent the jurors office an email. Thanks!View attachment 125317
Yikes!
I think you should get a lawyer and do whatever is necessary before they slap you with something.
Ugh, so monkey.Had to call in for jury duty last night, but also had a budget workshop for city council. So I had the wife call to find out if I needed to report. When I got home, she showed me that she attempted to call 3x last night, all calls between 6-9pm, and all 3x she got a recording saying it was too late to call (even though the summons says call "the week of" and the lines are available 24 hours. I called first thing this morning at 6am and the line says I failed to appear now. WTF?!!!! I guess the summons is going in the trash(?)
