Oregon State Police tried to conceal this controversial SWAT recruitment email when The Oregonian/OregonLive requested it. Now state police are distancing themselves from it.
The original email reads like an Onion parody of a police recruitment campaign. Maybe they cribbed it from what was originally a parody and thought 'yeah, that sounds effective, we'll use that'.
(On a side-note, I recall "less lethal rounds" used to be referred to as "non-lethal rounds" - I gather there were reasons why they changed the terminology).
