Put that all over the television. All the news channels.
The syphilitic orange menace's own words.
He will deny he said that. He will say that's "not even my voice."
I don't think anyone would care? It's not like any big secret that he admires authoritarian leaders and hopes to have his own autocracy someday.

Interesting tidbit.

Apparently Boelter went to two other homes the same night but one family was out of town and the other had a cop come checking after hearing about the other shootings. Boelter was there outside but didn't stay after other cops came. Doesn't say who the two were, but they were lucky..

It's not even about the immediate impact.
They flood the zone with shit, and that effort creates its own momentum.
Our counter move must be similar. (Bonus points if any of it is real.)

I call it "law of the first nugget."

Whatever they hear first, sticks, and any contrary information is deemed fake news and creates massive cognitive dissonance.

The right-wing echo chambers have perfected the art of using this.
Sorting the wheat from the chaff is just too much work for a lot of folks. Jello Biafra (a major wit) named one of his Dead Kennedys albums "Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death."

Interesting when Obama was in office Republicans didn’t have to worry about Democrats coming to assassinate them.

Oh the good old days of decency in high office

Republican Senator Mike Lee tweeted the following after the assassination. Since there have been no condemnations from Republican leadership or other members of Congress they must all agree with Mike Lee.

Lee also write ”Nightmare on Waltz Street,”
I bet Fox News isn’t telling their lemmings what Mike Lee did

Still no evidence Fox News has covered Mike Lee disparaging the assassinated Democrats in Minnesota.
I'm old enough to remember when a restaurant owner asked Sarah Sanders to leave her establishment and we had to have a weeks long national discussion on political civility. Now Democratic lawmakers are assassinated, Republicans laugh about it and... nothing else.

The problem here is the same as always - bad faith. Did Republicans really care that a restaurant was mean to Sarah Sanders? Of course not. Since they have no compunction against lying they were more than happy to pretend they did and of course when Republicans pretend to believe something the media is always right there to pretend to believe them.

It's also not just decorum. It's in everything Republicans do. Just look at today's NYT where they suggest that pocket recission of funds is legally allowed, but is a rarely used power, instead of just saying that Republicans are making bad faith arguments that undercut the law.

Yup. That’s the standard MO now - republicans make some insane claim about the law that’s been long settled. Then some right wing legal ‘scholars’ suddenly uncover new research! Then the media treats long settled law as ‘controversial’. This is what happened with birthright citizenship.

Another good one was NPR talking about how RFK Jr doesn't believe germ theory, but framed as if there are substantially competing and valid ideas.

What happens when "Marxists don't get their way"? WTF is he talking about?

Trying to make some sense of it, I have to conclude he's saying that if Marxists aren't allowed to run the country (and install a communist economic system?) , then socio-economic developments will be such that you'll end up with right-wing anti-abortion nuts assassinating democratically-elected (centrist) politicians?

Thus, the conclusion he presumably wants us to draw, is that it's important to put Marxists in charge of the country, so as to avert this kind of terrorism?
You must not have a sense of humor. /s

I'm pretty confident that if Boelter gets convicted, Trump is going to pardon him just to make the point that he can and he will. Afterall, in his mind Boelter did him a solid and it's dysfunctional crazed loyalists like him that Trump needs to force his will on the nation's peoples. Trump gets off big time when he thinks his followers are killing his enemies in his name.

But why would that matter? It’s not like a pardon would get him out of prison.

He'll be guilty of capital state crimes, not pardonable by Trump. Same way he couldn't avoid state charges in New York. He'll be a convicted felon for life.

Those days would have been a lot better (oh hear me MAGAs), if the citizenry had recognized decency when they saw it.

They already did that with the 2nd, it was called heller vs DC. That’s how we got to a point where a state that wants to protect its people are no longer allowed to do so because what once was a states right issue is now a personal right issue, despite the clear meaning and words of the amendment and 150 years of precedent.

Trump can only pardon the federal protion of the crimes. The murder charges are state level.

Why was Boelter charged at the state level with 2nd degree murder as opposed to murder in the 1st? Are politicians lesser beings? His acts were premeditated and directed, which would admit the 1st degree charges -- no?

These are just the initial filings. More charges can always come later.

Also, you need to look carefully at each state's definitions for murder degrees - it's not very uniform.
