A successful impeachment would end with Trump's removal -- just what we want.

But the culprits here and with the past impeachments are the Republicans, failing to do a responsible job by following the facts and fact-related arguments to a logical conclusion as acknowledgement of the Truth. But those people don't think on that level or have the integrity to pursue it. If they were doing their jobs, they would hold the Truth with some reverence before anything. But they are low-level hacks, following the ignoramuses in their constituencies who'd have a hard time valuing the Truth as a general objective. Somehow, their notion of politics is divorced from pursuit of the Truth and a Truth Ethic.

The democrats made me bring lawless fascism to the US!
This is victim mentality. What victim who lives in a society founded on and famous for justice in law for all people supports violating the law as the only way to remedy their suffering while spending a lifetime feeling that’s their condition.

How did our so called just society lose its mandate? My guess is that both parties in different ways were more interested in their personal ambitions than they ever were in serving the people with maybe an exception here and there.

The tone deaf are everywhere

What are you? A closet Republican. Get outta here with this garbage. Just sit on your hands because you don't anticipate trump being bulldozed out of DC? Normalize the unimaginable? WTF...

That's your opinion. We'll see what happens. Since impeachment doesn't lead to conviction in this partisan landscape we're in hasn't stopped 2 impeachments of Donald Trump. Will it stop a 3rd? I don't think so. And who knows? By 2026 it may be political suicide for a Republican senator to vote against impeachment conviction if Trump's actions are sufficiently destructive.

No, I just live in the real world where this man has yet to suffer any consequences for any of his endless list of "slam dunk" offenses. The only thing that will change that is a magic cheeseburger, or someone with better aim.

Anything else, at this point in time, is wish-casting.

One candidate grew up in a working class household, worked hard and went to law school, became an attorney general, then sensor, then VP.

Vs

The other candidate, who was the child of a real estate mogul, was gifted a business empire, launched multiple failed business that went bust, became a reality TV celebrity, and eventually ran for president
He's talking about the culture wars stuff of course...that's what he identifies with.

Rather than impeachment maybe the democrats could try running a candidate that has some common ground with the majority of voters.

Well

Common ground with the majority of voters?

That means the common ground was :

A convicted rapist
34 count convicted felon
Lied about bone spurs to get out of a serving the military
Set up a fraudulent university
Stole money from a children’s cancer charity
Filed for bankruptcy several times
Had millions given to them
Banged a pornstar
Owns a private jet
Cheated on their spouse
Hires illegals to work at their company

So which one of these do you have common ground with trump?

You left out "elected president of the united states twice by beating Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris". Funny that you forgot those two events. Hysterical that after all those horrible things you think he's done the majority of voters still thought he was a better choice than Harris.
Now the dems are going to spend the next three and a half years telling half nation how stupid they are for electing Trump, supporting fringe issues and moving Vance into the big chair.
Go ahead and tell me what a stupid Nazi I am, and I'll smile and pretend your opinion matters to me.

Hahaha, the usual situation where when conservatives realize they are doing something shitty they blame liberals for making them do it. You're the one who chose to back a criminal rapist - if you're okay with supporting rapists then just own it. It's no one's fault but your own.

Amusingly enough when Trump was indicted for dozens of felonies you were very, VERY concerned about making any judgments until after a verdict was reached. (and of course even after he was found guilty you decided that was fine too.) Odd that you don't seem to have any care whatsoever about if a verdict is reached for individuals abducted by masked goons.

Can you explain this?

It's as clear to me as the real guilt of Emmett Till's murderers.

Trump has committed a string of serious crimes and half the congress and the supreme court are corrupt enough to let it pass.

But if he won in 2024 with the 2-million-vote spread, he's not legitimate in my eyes because he's a criminal. I don't accept that he's a "president"; he's a criminal presence in the White House.

You said common ground..

How many times in the history of the universe for all time has a person beaten Hillary and Kamala?

Let me help you with that.. only once ever..

How is that considered common ground?

Common ground is something that happens multiple times..

Lets look at my list again..

rapists .. yup many people have committed rape

fraud.. yup many people have committed fraud

I think i have made my point..

After 2 posts you still cannot make a valid point.. instead you believe i will make a Nazi comment.. i dont have to do that.. i would rather use your own arguments / against you

I mean... liking....
  • A man who was impeached for blackmailing Ukraine into interfering in our election....
  • A man who was impeached for refusing to accept the election results and eliciting January 6th.
  • A 34 time convicted felon.
To say nothing of his lack of integrity, character, and horrible demeanor.
If that's your hill to die on.....

You do choose strange bed fellows, but it is your choice. Now we all feel the consequences.

Hopefully it will be the first order of business on January 3, 2027, when democrats take control of the house and the senate.

Under the current cesspool of gutless republicans in control, there is not a chance.

Hillary got more votes than Trump. Trump has never won the majority of voters.

Not in the first two of his election bids, but he did win the popular vote in 2024 -- by about 2 million votes I think. This just proves to me that half the country are missing some screws and displaying a form of mass ignorance.

Is there an underlying or even thoughtful message behind their votes? Do they hate America for what it is -- what it has evolved to be -- mostly through legislative and court decisions? Do they no longer revere the Rule of Law? And is this deliberate on their part?

People seem misled if they think that winning an election by a small margin is the same as winning an NFL game by a couple points. It isn't supposed to work that way, and the winner of our elections is supposed to then assume the role of serving all of us, and not just those who provided winning votes.

As I've said repeatedly, on most days when I go out to the grocery or run other errands, I fantasize finding someone to be on the receiving end of my round-house haymaker smack in the face. If I found a Trump supporter sitting next to me in church, I'd probably kick him in the shins and spit in his face -- making a scene -- right in the middle of the Consecration or while people are taking communion. Don't talk to me about "brotherly love" or civility or any other niceties. Trump is a Criminal and he's in office because of . . . . "those people".

The overwhelming majority of voters want tighter gun control laws yet here we are.

The overwhelming majority of voters want higher taxes on the rich yet here we are.

Democrats want these things yet nothing happens.

Yes he got more votes than Kamala but he did not get the majority of votes, which is what Greenie keeps saying. Funny how he never once brought up the popular vote from 2016 to 2020, now it's incredibly important to him. I wonder why.

Between the gerrymandering and Republican solidarity, I think the Senate is going to be rough to get to 51, much less the 60 vote threshold.

Also the majority of voters wanted Hillary and Biden, where was this sentiment from Greenie over the past decade?

He did have to appear and sit through a (for him) grueling trial in NY where he was convicted. He may have to face stuff like this in the future. RESIST, we must RESIST. How? Every way we can. It makes him stronger? More popular? WTF is that? RESIST!
