We seem to have gone from "completely destroyed" to "severely damaged" already.
The Middle East front is in another topic.
This topic is the European front.
Asia is feeling lonely and will probably add theirs soon-ish.

World War 3 will be kind of slow and boring, until it isn't.

Kongsberg is joining the club, establishing a presence in Ukraine.

"Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (‘KONGSBERG’) has entered agreements with two major Ukrainian industry players to develop and deliver low-cost, high-volume air defence missiles and unmanned surface vessels in the country. At the same time, the company announced it is establishing a permanent office in Kyiv"

“There is an urgent need to produce more cost-effective air defence missiles in large volumes, to deal with threats from attacking drones. Together with our Ukrainian partner, and with support from the Norwegian authorities, we look forward to developing an effective missile that we can manufacture and deliver in large numbers and that can be integrated with the NASAMS air defence system,” said Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace."

So they're developing a new low cost NASAMS interceptor in partnership with Ukraine. Sounds good to me.

Maybe she’ll get a sack of potatoes as compensation after her husband gets an FPV drone to the face. I’m only sorry about their children.
I really have no sympathy for the insanely stupid. Not to be cold but the intelligence in america has hit rock bottom just look at who is now president - the fellow who hires the worse of the worse like a 22 year old yard worker to be in charge of anti-terrorism. Anyway whatever.

I'll save my sympathy for the innocent that gets jailed by politician to make some false political point - there are a lot those people these days.... there was the lady in texas and there is the fellow who was sent to el salvadorie (and when the doj can't provide any evidence that this person is a problem they find another way to lock him up); it never ends with those assholes - so why would i show sympathy for some idiot who took a gun and shot himself in the head figuratively.

Dementia Don the Feckless Traitor demands another cease fire for Israel, gets ignored, just like in Ukraine.

At least Canada isn't putting up with his shit.

Trump The Alienator, always distancing himself from people that make him look fugly stupid just by standing next to him. Trump can't bear to mix in with real intelligent people because he's deathly afraid of exposing how totally incompetent and unqualified he is. It's so much like say, him walking into a higher level applied physics class by mistake, realizes he messed up, tries to bluff his way around for a few minutes, only to expose what a moron he is then skedaddles his ass out of there before he inevitably makes an epic ass of himself to the whole class.

Trump met with Zelensky at the NATO summit. Wisely for all parties not in front of the press or with the VP present.

Skipping a wake to avoid arrest, sounds like an easy call.

Yet there he be, acting as if he were a respected member of the international community. Guys like him and Trump, they think fear and respect are one and the same, or at least it's just about the only way they can see themselves as such. I guess these two criminals really don't care what manner of legacy they leave behind them. Shaming on them has no ill effect because they have no shame, no moral bearing, no compassion and concern except for themselves. You really got'ta wonder how people can pledge their allegiance to vile evil men like that.

You answered your own question: FEAR.

True. Both Putin and Trump swing the big stick because it's so much more simple and much easier than extending the olive branch that requires a bit of charm, a shitload of people skills and the persuasiveness of a loaded gun to the temple or a knife at the throat. And this is where Trump and Putin parts ways in the sense that Putin can exploit diplomacy to his advantage whereas Trump is incapable of relying on diplomacy because of his crippling narcissism exacerbated by his uncontrollable megalomania. His simple mindedness provides the proverbial icing on his Big Mac Attack.

Truly, Trump is just about THE worst person a nation could elect as their leader, yet I keep hearing and seeing the refrain "Give Trump the time he needs to prove he's right" to which I reply "and just how much time is that? So far, all he's been doing is proving how wrong he is", to which I get an abrupt flip off while walking away "you'll see, just wait and see."

Yep, the NATO leaders heaped piles of bullshit praise on Trump to influence him. That combined with their already increased defense spending because of the Russian threat appears to have turned Trump.

He's so predictably and easily impressionable. A literal puppet. This is horrifying. They literally placated him like a toddler. Looks like they started using the strategy the dictators of the world were using to influence him.

But at least, in this case, its a good outcome.

Ukraine is saying they hit the 1061st Logistics Center's missile fuel and fuel storage in Bryansk a short time ago. I'm curious to know what kind of drones were used, they haven't said yet.

Looks like Yuri discovered the pot o' semtex at the end of the rainbow there, good for him. That's certainly some lucky burning debris for Ukraine, no? Putin wants to go all in on Iskanders and Oreshnik doesn't he? Too bad his budget missiles don't run on imported NKs. Russia needs them for workers now, not just fighters who prefer porn to vodka.

Add in how Putin made Trump look to be the village idiot by refusing to go along with Trump's incessant quest to snag the Nobel Peace Prize that his nemesis Barak Obama won. Dumbass Trump and his megalomania inspired attempt at brokering a peace deal that both sides cannot come to terms with was doomed from the get-go. It seems he's been running with the ridiculous notion that "Well if Obama got one, it should be even easier for me to get one too."

On the one hand, Putin's days in power are directly proportional to the days he's failing to take the whole of Ukraine whilst Zelenskyy and the nation he leads is facing an existential threat that their people have been sacrificing their lives by the untold thousands over. So far, there's nothing that can be bargained for in-between unless one side capitulates. With what's left of NATO that Trump couldn't bring to heel accelerating their support for Ukraine, it surely makes Trump's efforts look even more so a laughable Quixotic attempt for glory.
