When we left home Thursday, it was in the low 50s heading for the mid 60s. Saw 80F in central Oregon...then we got to the coast. Cool and rainy. Highs in the 50s most days. Just like home.

20C and a thunderstorm just started, more coming. The system is moving straight West to East.

Nothing too spectacular but there's been some lightning and thunder, always fun.

Still wet and worth it to splash the gunk off, but not exactly refreshing.

It's supposed to be in the lower 90's upper 80's all week. The dewpoint has been 70 all day. My single in window air conditioner is struggling to keep it below 79 in my living room. Summer is here.

It's tolerable outside as long as the clouds keep the sun at bay.

Pool owner pro tip™ : Night swimming rocks! Daytime pool usage during this heat dome stupidity requires my oscillating sprinkler hooked up while we float under it delivering occasional shots of refreshing cold water!

22C with rainfall warning. Been really muggy today but not as crazy as what the south is getting.

Been quite the crazy day rain wise though. Lots of torrential downpours and thunder on and off. Earlier this morning it got so dark the street lights started to go on and it felt like a night shift at work.

The security camera footage doesn't really do it justice as the cameras adjust very well for darkness, but you can see just how hard it was coming down.

The action starts around 7 minute mark.

It poured off and on yesterday. During a moment of reprieve, I decided to knock out installing a new garden hose reel.

Sweet Christ. I was out there for no more than 20 minutes and was just soaked with sweat.

This has been our coolest June in the San Antonio area since 2021. High only supposed to be 91F = 33C, which is really nice for late June here; it's more like typical early June weather. Figured this year was going to be a scorcher when we were having days in the 100s in early May. I'm sure by mid July we'll be back to 102F = 39C every day but pretty nice for now other than the insane humidity (but June ALWAYS has insane humidity).
