We hit 100 F here for a couple of hours. It’s 99F now so I’m happy I might be able to sleep tonight.

So glad I had my old struggling heating and cooling system replaced back in the spring.

It is nice inside at 71 degrees F.

Went back to work yesterday for the first time since the end of April, so of course it was the hottest day of the year(95°), til it was beaten out by today(98°). Luckily, I didn't have to go in today. Yesterday kicked my ass. I was running on a couple hours of sleep, and after I got home, I fell asleep in my computer chair for 3 hours. Wokeup, and prepared some grade sheets. Wokeup this morning, and my newish to me allergies are acting up, so I almost fall on my face getting out of bed. My inner ears are jacked, and my chest hurts from something... Probably muscle. Summer's the fucking worst.

33C again and with humidity feels like 42C

We are getting some scattered thunderstorms rolling through.

EDIT: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect. Heavy storms are roaring through now. It's just pouring with high winds.

Had a few nice days in a row, and now we're paying for it. 12C but feels much colder and it's raining hard right now. I put on shorts and tshirt out of habit given how nice it's been and was freezing in the office, went back home on my break to change and even put on winter coat to go back outside. When it rains like that the air just feels so much colder even indoors.

We're getting like 14mm of rain per hour and it won't stop until later this evening.

My coworker that I was cross shifting with has water in his basement from all this rain, and it just won't stop. Shitty situation to be in especially when you have to work.

He said he literally just finished drywalling down there too. He waited a few years to make sure there's not going to be any water issues.

Rain is not suppose to stop until like next Friday. When it rains like this it usually lasts for a long time.

We had quite the adventure today.

Cloudy, humid not too hot. Felt like rain was coming. It did rain around 3:00PM. Then the sky got very dark and windy. It felt off and then boom!!!! The TV and my phone went off with a Tornado Warning at 3:49PM.

That warning lasted about 15 mins. They sky has been a mix of dark and light clouds with scattered showers. Funnel clouds were reported just north of me in Lucan, Ontario. Some damage was reported and no one was hurt.

This was a our first Tornado Warning of the year.

The rain seems to have slowed down, I figured we'd just get a week straight of it as that's usually what happens. Been getting the odd mini thunderstorms though but they don't last long, like 15 minutes.

Been mostly hot in the 25C range outside of when it rains, nothing super crazy and it's fairly normal for this time but definitely hot.

We just had an epic thunderstorm. A lightning hit literally as I took that pic, pretty sure the white in the sky is actually the start of it.

There's a brush fire really close to me but we got 45+ minutes of heavy rain that stopped it from spreading

Sunday, we hit 69F. Overnight, the marine layer rolled in, we got some fog/mist…and I don’t think it got above 60F all day. Just right.

I still wonder till this day if one way that explains the path the lightning takes, is created by powerful cosmic rays that ionize that air.
Creating a low impedance ionized path and shorten the distance between the Earth and the cloud the electric discharge has to travel.
Cosmic rays travel path look a lot like lightning paths in the air. And there are primary cosmic rays and secondary cosmic rays. Primary cosmic rays being the more powerful ones.

Here it is 31 degrees celcius. About 79 degrees fahrenheit.

No idea.

I'm basically a termite. My nest is temperature controlled (more or less) and I avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. I won't burst into flames or anything, it'll just feel that way.
