Not only is abortion illegal.
Not only is life saving medical care for pregnant women illegal.
Republicans need more. More power. More cruelty. More enslavement.

Taliban, anyone?

Prosecutor warns of potential charges against women who miscarry in West Virginia

a number of prosecuting attorneys in the state have discussed with him and other prosecuting attorneys their willingness to file criminal charges against women in pregnancy loss situations, by using state law related to disposal of human remains.

Bonkers, isnt a miscarry just God’s will?

Trump Admin mandates the murder of pregnant women.

I will not put it any other way, because that is exactly what this action is. It can be the only purpose of this action.
To rescind Emtala protections for pregnant women.
To explicitly deny medical care in an emergency.

We have already witnessed the consequences time and again. We KNOW the actions various States have taken to deny and prevent medical care in emergencies. It is murder.

Trump rescinds guidance protecting women in need of emergency abortions

The Trump administration on Tuesday rescinded Biden-era guidance clarifying that hospitals in states with abortion bans cannot turn away pregnant patients who are in the midst of medical emergencies – a move that comes amid multiple red-state court battles over the guidance.

The dumbass only rescinded it coz Biden was involved. Of course, Trump and his family won't ever have an emergency like that because he has access to care enjoyed by the top 1%. They can do whatever the hell they want. Laws are just for the peasants and they are really annoyed by the existence of poor people.

Not sure whether this belongs in the Schadenfreude thread or here

How many average people have access to a Governor to get their necessary medical attention.

Right wingers are complete dirtbags. They create these heinous environments, when it blows up in their face they blame the left.

Saw this on bluesky, I don't think it's going to surprise many...

Consequences confirmed, numbers to back it up

"The data is undeniable: •15 of top 16 states with the highest rates of infant mortality are red states that deny/ban repro access. •12 of top 13 states with the lowest rates of infant mortality are blue states that protect repro access."

Women and children always have it worse under repug admins, but this illegitimate dumpster fire in the White House certainly illustrates it better than any others. Add to it the magat agenda is making healthcare harder to find while it resuscitates diseases like polio, measles, tuberculosis. And then they don't give a shit about kids and lead, be it from an old water fountain or a 16" barrel.

Trumpism is as toxic to American families as it is the rule of law.

Has this one done the rounds?

"Florida Republican Rep. Kat Cammack needed an abortion for an ectopic pregnancy, but that conflicted with her politics of advocating against abortions."

So she rationalizes that the abortion that she need and got was not actually an abortion - and blames it on the democrats.

Also, when first denied abortion, she picks up the phone and dials the governor that she knows - to get an exemption for her self. - and blames it on the democrats.

Guess Florida also have "Florida Women" ... cause holy crap a mind job. Get fucked in the brain and live to tell the tale.

Yep, that's who was being discussed starting in post #807 yesterday.

This is exactly how Trumpers feel about crime. Perps look like me so I get a pass.

Another day, another conservative policy imposed by fiat of the conservative majority of the Committee of Supreme Rulers.

Naturally, since they provide services other than abortion, this will lead overall worse healthcare outcomes for those with lower income.

"“Payment of taxpayer funds to abortion clinics, for any purpose, results in the subsidy of abortion and the denial of the right to life,” McMaster said at the time, even though the reimbursements could not be used for abortions. Abortions are also now banned in South Carolina after six weeks of pregnancy."

So they'll strip them of funding for other care they provide, such as prenatal and postnatal care, STD testing and treatment, and many other services offered at some locations:

We offer services in:
  • Abnormal Pap test follow-up (colposcopy, cryotherapy, LEEP)
  • Anal cancer screening
  • Anemia testing
  • Cervical cancer screening (HPV/Pap test)
  • Chest/breast cancer screening and referrals
  • Cholesterol screening
  • Colon cancer screening
  • Diabetes screening
  • High blood pressure screening
  • Menopause treatment
  • Smoking cessation
  • Testicular and prostate cancer screening
  • Thyroid screening
  • Wellness visit (annual exam, routine checkup, etc.)
  • Other wellness and preventive care services

PP gets defunded in red states. Woman who is poor or without political connections in the same position at the cvnt from Florida just dies.

Turns out the "pro-life" party isn't so "pro-life". What a world!
