Hochul, the Dem establishment leader of NY State, not so warm on Mamdani. The evidence is overwhelming at this point, drop your Democratic party registration. The party is a dead end and too corrupt.
Agreed, the existing democratic party needs to die a fiery death and a new progressive party needs to take its placeDNC chair assures Wall Street donors the Democrats don't really want the same things Mamdani wants. Not like workers in Duluth or Des Moines need any of that stupid progressive stuff! (Yes those cities are referenced in the article)
Destroy the Democratic party.
I totally agree with this. Clearly the citizens of NY want a more progressive government, so they should get it.I can't find it in the thread but someone posted a link to an article about rich people threatening to leave NYC over Mamdani's proposals..simply put, call their bluff. They can already live anywhere they want. There's a reason they live in NYC and haven't moved elsewhere.
(Same thing was true with Amazon's bidding out of HQ2. Amazon has resources to build anywhere they want. So why play the tax break game)
I see Sherman missed a spot on his march to the sea.Odds he even makes it to the election?
And if they do work out - considering the buying power of NYC - will you admit that it was a good idea?I totally agree with this. Clearly the citizens of NY want a more progressive government, so they should get it.
I'm excited to see how the government owned supermarkets work out.
Damn straight. That’ll teach them liberals.I totally agree with this. Clearly the citizens of NY want a more progressive government, so they should get it.

Hopefully they would work out better than the pot dispensaries supposedly set up by the state of Minnesota. They legalized pot more than 2 years ago, and still don't have the distribution system set up to sell it. I mean they cant even sell something that everybody wants. Or maybe private enterprise, even if not legal, is more efficient than the government. Not sure the government is the best entity to be selling products, or maybe Minnesota really is just as corrupt and inept as the MAGATs make it out to be.And if they do work out - considering the buying power of NYC - will you admit that it was a good idea?

Hey, I was trying to be nice. I never mentioned Walz at all. But, if the shoe fits......Nvm, you’re right Walz personally pissed on your gummy.
Even if it's just one store I'm still interested in the outcome. Will prices be lower than privately owned stores? Will they operate at a loss and use tax revenue to cover the difference? What will the initial investment be?He wants to do five pilot stores. Big deal.
All the people bellyaching about this also should look to see if their utilities are municipally owned or if they have to go to a state owned store to buy liquor or if the state is the only legal wholesaler. This includes the one you live in I believe.
so in your crystal ball what's going to happen?Even if it's just one store I'm still interested in the outcome. Will prices be lower than privately owned stores? Will they operate at a loss and use tax revenue to cover the difference? What will the initial investment be?
It's a great experiment. I think I already know how it's going to turn out but it should be attempted.
