    That was unexpected... I just ran RTX Quake on my GTX (not RTX)1660ti mobile to see what would happen. I assumed it would default to some setting that didn't require RT but the game came up in RT mode. The water even looks good, however it was a slide show, almost impossible to control.

    Yeah, I had an Abit 440 "BX" MB. Lasted 3 generations of CPUs with a slot adapter. I think it was pushing nearly 1GHz by the EOL.

    Yes, this, exactly! Back in the day we had Abit, Aopen and Asus. Then Asus spins off ASRock and now I'd sooner buy an ASRock. Did burn up one ASRock doing distributed computing with a hex core 1055t but they replaced it and I didn't push the replacement quite so hard.

    I don't know??? Ray tracing seems to really help the water in RTX Quake but i don't know how to disable RT specifically in Quake. I disabled "reflections" which made the water look terrible. CP77 looks pretty darn good without RT. RT can specifically be switched off in CP77. I like the idea...

    A buddy of mine had me run CyberPunk with ray tracing off and it looked amazingly good. Many of the things I had been attributing to the ray tracing looked nearly as good with it off. Shadows and reflections were there and looked fine. No way I'd notice the difference during active gameplay.

    Oh man I love FC1 and 2. FC2 has a real starfield at night, not just random stars. When we got the new cards with the raytracing I played RTX Quake which is just Quake but with better textures and raytracing. Looks tons better, especially the water.

    Handbrake is said to make good use of 6 cores with diminishing returns on additional cores. Unfortunately this is not a hard cutoff and helps us only a little because more cores do help, just not as much as the first 6.

    I expect Fury needs 1.35V to do 3200 period. That it can do 16-20-20 makes it "better" than the Value which can only do 22-22-22. For sure. This picture explains what I was talking about regarding the leakage. It is likely that the Fury is faster but less efficient than the Value.
