    Nothing wrong with them. There are 2 3.2 headers, and 2 2.0 headers. So if you have fan controllers or things like that, you will run out quickly. For the vast majority of people this will not be a problem.

    I agree with U&T. I went for the Elite for my 3900x build, but, if you are going to wait for 2-3 months, there could be better boards out there. One thing I should note, is that if you are looking for USB headers, the Elite is not the way to go.

    Why are all of the new motherboards covered in plastic ?

    For me, it's about clean lines. I like the plastic as well as the RGB when it is uniform. That said, all things gamer seem to want big and extreme. Look at Corsair and their gamer logo.

    I think the main issue is how the motherboards are using Daisy chain and not something like t topology. More than 2 sticks results in latency for the other sticks.

    Well, unless they have chiplets that are more than 8 cores, clearly there would be two defective chiplets. It could very well be that the defect is just in either one or two of the disabled cores, but, I doubt the 3900x will clock as high as the 3950x. If it does though, that is what I pull...

    From what I understand, the major difference was supposed to be PCIe 4 in X590, but, because it was ready they put it in X570. At least, that was I remember from the GN video.

    That seems strange to me. I would think that there are times when you might want a very high frequency single core. If all cores boost to their max given the listed constraints, then you will see a lower clocked single core as the other active cores will create heat that will lower the max...

    Sounds like there is a sweet spot where the IF is at 1:1 ratio which gives the best perf. Anything above that and it drops to 2:1 and reduces gaming and other latency sensitive applications. A pretty nice option for some though. Looks like I'll be sourcing 3733 to get the most gaming perf.
