  1. In-Development Indie MMORPSs

I've replaced the old video with one from the stress test, thanks!
  2. In-Development Indie MMORPSs

That's a really cool video. Lot of people in this large-scale battle. I think it looked epic with all the horses and combatants
  3. In-Development Indie MMORPSs

Oh yea I had already heard about Fractured but forgot about it. Thanks! MMORPGs take huge amount of time that's sure, it's hard to get into for someone who works / has a family. Except a few MMOs where you can reach the "end-game" pretty quickly thanks to mostly horizontal advancement...
  4. In-Development Indie MMORPSs

Yea... that pretty much sums up the state of those MMOs. GV I liked the bullet drop on the arrows, and generally the map looked good when there's decent lighting. CF lags with multiple players on screen but they're working hard on that field, Dual Universe I haven't played but the concept is...
  5. In-Development Indie MMORPSs

Thanks! I agree with your that MMORPGs featuring both engaging PvE and thrilling PvP usually do better than solely PvP. EVE Online is an example of game that did it the right way imo. Albion Online also features PvP/PvE.
  6. In-Development Indie MMORPSs

It takes years to develop a great video game, and a lot longer for a AAA MMORPG. When the studio chooses the route of open-development (devs engage with the community, create testing environments, etc.) the development time can easily reach 8 to 10 years. The following independent MMOs games are...

  8. What music are you listening to now?

    Maria Isabel - The 1
  9. Catapult or Trebuchet?

Trebuchets are pretty cool, the way they function is really effective to shoot long-range projectiles. Catapults are handy for their mobility I guess. I'd got with trebuchets.
  10. What first world problem did you have today?

There's no more dessert here. Only some fruity candies and half of a chocolate bar. Just remembered about the chocolate bar.
  11. Star Citizen Development Discussion (Is Derek Smart Right?)

It must be the MMORPG with the most beautiful visuals, and it's not done yet. So much money being pouring in the project ($349). Maybe they'll achieve something never seen, super innovative and of great quality (one can hope).
  12. What, no thread about Stadia in this subforum? (Cloud gaming - Read Dead Redemption 2 joined at Nov launch)

As I've said on other places, the ~100-150ms input lag inherent of cloud gaming is really a problem imo, and there's not way to actually improve it significantly (other than changing the speed of light).
  13. Discussion Lets talk about Valheim

Yea it's low-poly textures and models but it looks good thanks to the art style and lighting. Overall a very good game according to Steam reviews (96% positive). +4 millions copies sold.
  14. Crowfall- PvP MMO "With Consequences"

The studio behind Crowfall now puts all their energy on delivering the final milestone, which should launch in February 2020. This milestone includes: the Frostweaver the Dregs (GvG campaign) caravans / mounts refineries ability to create, move and destroy buildings remaining disciplines
  15. Worlds Adrift alpha game.

Yea I think releasing a game in early access often slow the development process a lot. If a studio got only 30-40 devs and half of them are busy in operating the game and creating things to sell in the store, surely it doesn't help to finish the game. Not sure if it's the case for World Adrift...
  16. Your opinion on the best Free-to-Play games available?

There are tons of decent free-to-play online games nowadays, it just depends how much P2W you're able to tolerate before rage quitting. ;) League of Legends is very good imo, doesn't offer much gameplay advantages to paying players so it's fine. EVE Online has a F2P option now I think. ArcheAge...
  17. Planet Coaster

Not exactly my kind of game since I'm more a MMO fan but I've watched a video of this game and it looks awesome. Lot of customization to build a park, some great graphics and the frame rate seemed fluid even with all the objects and characters on the map.
