My Samsung 900NF is 19inches and i run it at 1600x1200@85hz. I also run my 700NF at 1600x1200@75hz. Both look great to me. I cant understand why anyone would run a 19 incher at less than 16x12.
IMO 2k and xp are about the same. I have not had an OS related crash from either operating system. But since xp does have more "stuff" thrown in, and maintains the stability, it its better than 2k. XP is just a pretty GUI attached to 2k anyway.

The Quadro equivilant of each Geforce is no faster at gaming or everyday applications, only certain CAD applications. It would be a waste of money to buy a quadro unless you are doing CAD or professional 3d rendering.
I believe the new Radeon is faster than a geforce2go as well.
No the tape will not help at all, and with both of them it would only make it worse. You use one or the other. The best way is to trash the tape and use the AS. Use only enough to cover the core, perhaps .5mm in height. Be careful not to get any on the other components on the chip as AS is...
