ever heard of Divinity school? Well, those are considered professional schools, I guess. Necessary for ordination, actually.

As for Film School, I'd say you're in good shape if it's UCLA. Film anywhere else is probably worthless.

Anyway, undergrad degrees are all equally worthless these days. Or at least, one isn't really better than the other. Today, it's generally considered the same level of achievement as graduating from High School was in the up until the 60s.

Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to a bunch of kids asking "so, what's your major? Well mine has a starting salary of 55K so that makes it better!!!!"

You're right. The more I look into some of this stuff, it seems like the scientists (those with physics/chemistry, etc) degrees are ones inventing the useful stuff.

It's not a science, so that doesn't piss me off. It does piss me off that people think it's a science. In the end, what those people think doesn't make it a science, it just exposes their ignorance

What I mean is that most people do mundane, forgettable things, and you shouldn't count on any particular major to be full of exceptional individuals doing exceptional things. The world doesn't really need so many exceptional things, just enough of them. Not everybody is an Einstein. Just the way it is.

If that is so, then why are there majors that makes a shit load more on average than other majors? A petro engineering degree will start you off at 70k on average, while a liberal arts degree will start you off at 35k.

You do realise, to be a minister, or whatever your denomination calls it requires, typically a Doctorate in Divinity/Religious Studies.
