Hmm, Tom's hardware seems to indicate the opposite when it comes to gaming scores, and unfortunately only 1 review uses bad company 2, a multi threaded multi core loving, massively popular game. The constant use of Fry Cry 2 and Crysis is really irritating, get something new! There does seem to be some differing opinions out there

My only question is whether or not getting 300+ MHz bus is something that is easy to do for most boards. If you can do that then that lessens the value of the BE cpu.

Nice, from reading these reviews I firmly believe that the 1055T is where the money is at, the chip performs similar to the 1090T and also overclocks great, you got it stable at 4.3Ghz and your scores are higher than all official reviews, this shows that your chip has greater potential than the 1090T.

The minimum fps in some games is better with the 1090T, this and overclock3d.net is the only site that conducted a thorough gaming bench, Anandtech will be the one to look out for to compare all games and benchmarks.

Congratulations on buying a great chip richie

Yeah congrats, the gaming score's were OK. I got excited early, performance is similar to 965BE although it plays neck and neck with 980X in BC:BF2.
But one thing is for sure, the power consumption looks great, 2 extra cores and no increase in TDP.

Yeah, never mind on the gaming. Still, for $200 the 1055 is a great little CPU for anyone needing the 6 cores. Pretty good bang-for-your-buck in that package.

yeah the i7 beats the crap out of it when using a gtx480 in Crysis. oh well the i5 750 is still the better value out of the price range I was looking at.

Now, RichieRich, time to do something about the 8800GT that's holding your box back. You have a cutting-edge CPU - how about a cutting-edge GPU as its wingman? So to speak.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere? CAD? C'mon. You know you want to... heh heh. Man, that was the fastest reply I've ever seen!

cheesy pete, that's $105 delivered! i3-530 vs 1055t!

I'm really struggling with this, it doesnt perform as well in games which is what I'm primarily doing right now, but intel and socket 1155 have soured me. any FPS over my monitor refresh rate are moot right?

AMD has released some pretty good products based off of what we all thought were turds.

The current Radeon 5xxx cards are based off of the Radeon 2900. Thuban is based off of Phenom I. Pretty impressive from where most of us though AMD was heading when Phenom I and the 2900XT where their flagship parts.

radaja, everyone knows that the i7s are faster than the Phenom II processors clock-for-clock. Unfortunately, for AMD they have to price their processors accordingly. That's why we are comparing the 1055T to the i7-920/930.

please read what im asking.i said nothing about which models were being compared.
im not asking anything about prices either.i just wanted to know why they were OCed
to different speeds for the comparison, and i already got an answer that explained why
and i fully understand.i swing both ways baby when it comes to cpu's.and i know exactly
what a great value these x6's are.AMD is back and they have intel on their heels with these awesome x6's

I already replied in other threads, but I think it applies here.

1090T @ 4127 mhz @ 45c full load with midrange air cooling. And in F@H beats 920 I7@3.7 by 30%. And on a $80 motherboard....
