It's probably that speed hack thing that people use to make CPU clock reporting utilities report higher speeds. This is just done in the opposite way.

I dont know if it is doctored or not, but i know how to replicate that. I ran VMware under linux, and ran win98 within it, and it warned me about some crap with the realtime clock being screwey. running wcpuid returned different speeds every time, ranging from 1 mhz or so to 2 ghz or so.

You twit, the weird graphic appearance is down to standard JPEG compression - christ, it's only a windows standard display, it's not exactly hard to rig up one that looks identical if you choose - for my money this is genuine, although what caused it is anyone's guess.

I don't have any picture editing software, except for paint. I had to change the bitmap to .jpg so Homestead would let me upload it.

The pixelation around the numbers isn't a reason to believe it's doctored because the pixelation occurs EVERYWHERE in the picture: a clear sign of a compressed image. If the pixelation only occured around the numbers, then it would be suspicious.
