IMHO, I'd rather splurge on the monitor than do any of this dual-GPU nonsense. A good 120Hz monitor would last you a long time, whereas the next big thing in GPU-land is just around the corner.

Btw someone on some forum when i was asking about the PSU also said this

The TX model will use slightly more power to do the same, and will perhaps be a bit more unstable, allowing less overclocking (though both are so good, its little difference) If you care about the price, pick the TX.
Also, there are new versions called TXxxxM (such as TX850M) which are partly modular, if you want.

TXv2 = Seasonic
TXM = CWT

The AX *is* a bit more efficient, but as far as clean power, the Seasonic-built TXv2 is pretty great. The other guy is trying to upsell you. If you want the AX go for it (though not at the expense of the monitor), but I definitely wouldn't downgrade to the TXM.

There are no "dual-GPU monitors". There just is no link between refresh rate and dual-GPU compatibility, not sure why you think there is.

If you mean to say that a dual-GPU setup will achieve higher frame rates, and that high frame rates are taken advantage of by the high refresh rate, then that's another thing.

IMO there's no difference in longevity between a 60hz and 120hz monitor, other than the possibility that if you buy a 60hz monitor, you might some day want to upgrade it to a 120hz monitor.

What I'm saying is that at 1080P on a 60Hz monitor, you will be hard pressed to see the benefits of a high-end dual-GPU setup. You should instead by a good monitor that will let you see the benefits of such a setup and upgrade your GPU down the line. GPU technology advances faster than monitor technology, so a good monitor now will still be good in 3 years whereas a high-end GPU setup that you buy today will be laughable in 3 years.

My dirt 3 edition HD 6950 2GB card with dual fans is extreamly quiet!!!!
I havn't heard my card yet! and I have played Dirt 3 and Starcraft 2 both on ultra settings.

I'm running a i5 2500K, Asus P8Z68 - V - LE MoBo, and this card with excellent results. I am very happy with my system and can hardly wait for BF3 (the reason I built the computer).

I don't know why people are saying you need more than one HD 6950 card since the optimum system requirments states that one HD 6950 is recommended by the manufacturers of the game.

Those requirements are pretty vague, you can't really say for sure what settings they're based on and what FPS counts as playable. If you play BF3 on ultra settings and want over 50fps at all times, a single 6950 is going to fall very short indeed

Hmm, the P8Z68-V LE is only x16/x4 on its physical x16 slots. Something that is x8/x8 like the ASRock Z68 Extreme3 would have been better. Glad you like it though!
