160gb hdd & 48 bit addressing etc...

Right,
finaly got my 160gb HDD + maxtor (promise) Ultra 133 TX2, pluged it in, turned on and booted off my on-board promise -lite raid into win XP, and all is happy.

Start copying files onto the drive and it hangs. It does this repeatedly.

Mb: soyo dragon + with 2* IBM 75GXP's booting off them just fine.

i found this: xp support , however the problem with this is that it says XP SP1 is required, but SP1 aint out yet. I tryed the drive on the m/b standard udma 100 chanel and it detected fine, however when i filled more than 130gb of it, the drive corrupted.

Anyone got any clues, or suggestions for what i should try?

damn damn and damn

Just flashed the bios so it's a fully blown on-board raid card, hoping that would fix my problems but no.

Still hangs when trying to move data arround
