19 inch monitors?

I'm in the hunt for a 19" as well, but I'm not very concerned about saving a buck. I went el-cheapo with my last 2 monitors and have paid dearly (both sh!tted out in 2 years, almost to the day), so this time, needless to say, I am going to spend some money and buy some quality for a change.

Right now I'd have to say that it's a choice between the Cornerstone p1460, Sony G400, Iiyama a90i (a91i now), and the Samsung 900NF.

At work I use a Viewsonic P220F (the new 21" Trinitron), and although I can see the lines, I absolutely love this monitor. If it weren't for the $!@#%!@#$ flourescent lights in my office, my eyes would never hurt.

Anyhow, if you do any CAD/CAE work like I do, you definitely know what I'm talking about when I say that it's worth it in the long run to buy a hoss monitor and save the eyes.

Can't believe there was only one minor mention for KDS. I love my 19' Avitron flat panel (AV-195TF) - picked it up at Best Buy for $380 after rebate.

It supports ultra high resolutions, has virtually no glare, and best of all, comes complete with the KDS 3 year "kares" program warranty - If ANYTHING goes wrong with the monitor for the next 3 years, I call a 800 number and they IMMEDIATLEY drop ship a brand new one to me BEFORE I return the old one at their expense. What other company is offering a warranty like that????

Looks awesome on the desk also - I like it better than the more expensive Sonys I was looking at. Well worth checking it out....

I bought a KDS Avitron with a Trinitron tube at Bestbuy. 400$ with a 50$ rebate. I think it's better than the Viewsonics.

900NF and 195TF are both excellent choices. NF tube vs TF trinitron tube is a matter of personal preference, i kinda liked TF and went with KDS, no complaints so far. no hands on experience with trinitron clone viewsonics, but my friends SM viewsonic sucked compared to my SM KDS, just a personal observation that he agreed on. btw, the 17'' LG flatrons looked gorgeous... if 19'' ones are identical in the visual quality, you cant go wrong with them!
