I've been researching the 24" LCD Monitors as well and was getting ready to pull the trigger on the Dell 2407WFP until I read the Dell Forums on this monitor and how unhappy people are that their problems are not being fixed. I guess my biggest gripe would be the fact that the resolution is 1980x1200 and there is no way to scale it down to 1920x1080 for True HD resolution. The pixels will be stretched for HD DVD and Xbox 360 which to me for a <1,000 Euro monitor is totally unacceptable. I wish they would have kept the ability to do 1920x1080 like they did with the Dell 2405.
Other monitors to consider include the Dells twin brother the Benq FP241WZ which from what I have read will have the ability to display the 1920x1080 instead of forcing everything to 1920x1200.
Acer AL2423W - I don't know to much about this one, but the price tag is much cheaper and seems to be popular in the UK. AL2623W is 26" monitor for same price as the Dell 24".
Samsung 244T - Great monitor, but more expensive then the Dell and suffers from Lag issues?
Viewsonic VX2435 - Heard this was coming out and is Viewsonics attempt to get into the 24" Widescreen LCD battle.
Don't get me wrong, the Dell 2407WFP is a great monitor if you can get it cheap, however I would expect more for a true HD monitor to display native HD for HD DVD and Xbox 360.
