1984 bag of Doritos... UPDATED

As someone pointed out, the copyright date is meaningless. But it does look like the expiration date is:

May 8X - I cant make out the X, so it's at least from the late 80's, if not before.

Just proves that Doritos have a half life, not a shelf life.

OP, get us a better picture of the expiration date tag. I have a friend that works at Frito Lay, he can probably find out when they were produced.

That sucks. I think I liked the 3D Jalapeno and Cheddar ones better than anything else they offer, even the Cool Ranch Doritos.

Aren't they the same Doritos in a different shape? It seemed like they made it that shape to reduce the number they could fit in a bag.
