2.1 megapixel vs 1.3

I'm in the market for a digital camera, mostly for computer use, but I may be printing some photos out to give to family, etc.. I realize that a 2.1 MP camera will be sharper than a 1.3, but will the difference be noticeable without a magnifying glass? I'm looking at the Sony DSC-P30 and DSC-P50 models.............Thanks

i believe that there is a diff, ive used both, but its more noticable when you print it off, of course it has to do with your printer also. But the 2.1 MP does have more clarity and detial..

2.1 has higher resolution. Simple as that.

4x6 prints are perfectly fine with a decent 1.3, though they become grainy for any prints beyond that. I would just pay the small extra for a 2.1 in case you want to do some quality 5x7 prints. A 2.1 will become grainy at 8x10.
