but are benchmarks all any one pays attention to? in another article by anandtech he writes: "Although the P4X266A and SiS 645 chipsets are both faster than the i845 with DDR SDRAM, neither chipset has such a stable following of platforms as the i845."
Yeah and its not like RDRAM is exspensive anymore.

2 x 256 PC2700 (non generic, If you want good quality stuff it will cost 100+ dollars a stick) ~ 160 = 280 dollars total
or
Asus P4T-E ~ 155
2x256 RDRAM(Samsung) ~ 150 = 305 dollars total
25 dollars more for one of the most stable chipsets plus its sopposed to overclock better than the sis 645.
