2 Basic KDE questions

1) Is there a KDE equivlent to Windows' startup folder? Or somewhere that I could put commands that I want KDE to run once it's booted up?

2) How do I install a new font? Gotta have my Tempus Sans ITC.. I've got a copy of the .ttf, I just don't know how to install it under KDE.

KDE 1.x had an "autostart" folder on the desktop. I don't use KDE anymore, so I don't know if it is still there

yes look for hidden files in root folder that indicate KDE.

1. the file .xinitrc in your home directory can act as a startup folder. When x starts it will execute any commands in there.

For example, if your file reads:
startkde
gaim
opera

Then kde would start up and so would gaim and opera.

If you use something like gdm or kde (graphica logins) then often times startkde will not appear in that file.
