I hate seeing 20" monitors going for 350ish now, I paid 450 for my dell 1800 just a couple years ago and even then I got it off hot deals, I think they were going for around 800 then.

20" for 350? 500 is a good deal. Maybe you mean 19" though, 350 is average there.

THe 2001fp is you only choice. When it's on sale for 500, it's way cheaper than others, and faster response time as well.

I'm definitely warming up to 2005FPW. The brightness of the monitor is definitely overpowering. Even after setting the brightness down to zero via the control on the monitor it was too bright. I further adjusted the brightness down to -25 via ATI control panel and it's perfect now. Tested for backlight bleeding by playing DVD movie and found very minor bleeding on the top left and bottom left corner. But it's extremely minor and not an issue. Movies definitely look better on this than my 2001FP due to it being native widescreen. Games look great as well with no ghosting although I did not try out any WS game.

2005FPW gets a big  from me. I'm really digging the WS aspect of it although it takes some time getting used to. My wife loves the monitor and is thrilled at the increased deskspace she gained. Her old 21" Nokia CRT was a real space hog.

I'm considering returning the 1905fp I bought recently (had it about a week) and getting a 2001fp, due to ghosting, but I heard bad things about LCD in non-native resolutions. When I get my new comp it should be able to run most stuff 1600x1200, but I will eventually have to scale down since I don't upgrade often. My new comp will be a A64 3200+ w/ X800XL and 1 gig ram, is it better to go with a 19" lcd like the Hyundai 190d+ or with the 2001fp and eventually have to use a non native resolution.
