You get what you pay for

$20 "leather" chairs at office superstores are always cheap as dung! The quality sucks, and there's about 25% grade "D" leather on them. The other 75% is crappy vinyl. This chair is definitely not worth $300. Officedepot often posts outrageous msrp's.

After a few months, the cushion on these things will wear down till it hurts your bum to sit on it.

I have a similar 'executive managers' chair that i bought a few years ago from staples.
mine had a 15 year warranty of some sort, and i still have the warranty card. (I wonder if i can return this 4 year old chair, since now the vinyl is cracked, and the cushion is smashed thin)

Sorry but I'm going to say not hot because the chair is always this price give or take 10-20 dollars.

It's definitely not worth the $200, but well worth the $40! I bought one in 2001 and then one in 2002. This thing comes around every year or so. If someone finds a way to get to the $39.99 price, I will get another one

i paid $50 AR for that chair a few weeks back :frown: and yes now it does show $69.99 i think even for $50 its a good chair, will it last very long? probly not, but hey i paid 50 bucks for it.

Aight... I didn't even screw around with the rebates. I've been procrastinating for long enough (for the last two months I've been sitting on a god awfull wooden dining chair that hurts like hell after an hour).

Anyway, this is a good deal for $40. It tilts,and has adjustable height and so forth. The leather is prob crappy, but that hardly matters. The cushoning is a little thin, so I'd guess it'll wear down in a year or so. As a purported "oversized" chair, the back certainly comes up short, and I'm only 5'10".

In summary, this is a great chair on the cheap. If you can afford one of those nice ergo chairs for $600.00, go for it... otherwise this will due just fine.

Agreed, huge difference between $40 and $500+ (what really good chairs cost). Don't bother with $100-$200 chairs as they aren't any better in quality.
