The question is whether or not AWD will be available with that particular engine configuration.

Much like you won't be able to buy an AWD Magnum + Hemi + Stick, some configurations aren't offered.

I'm not aware of Mercedes offering anything over 350hp with AWD, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure the real powerful ones stay RWD.

WTF? I'm trying to press the brakes and the seat starts moving back - nice safety feature... in addition to trapping my kids hand into the window as the window shuts... no wait, there's a pre-pre-safe system that makes sure nothing is blocking the window and that the brake pedal moves with my foot as the seat moves back.... now it makes sense.

I dont think that the S65 will be available with AWD.

A lot of you are confusing the models.

Currently there are:
S430 - weak V8
S500 - decent V8

S55 AMG - sweet car (supercharged V8)
s600 - sweet car (nice V12)

S65 AMG - God like (V12 with twin turbos)

All the discussion that Viper and I had above was about the S65 - which I highly highly doubt will be available with awd.
