When the idea of "Red Sox Nation" started being commercialized, the sellouts began. At first, they weren't consecutive, but I can say that before the '00 / '01 season, I could find tickets very easily. Now, I hardly ever go to games anymore.

Don't be bitter.

If you had a clue, you would know that every year since John Henry became owner of the Red Sox they have been adding seats to Fenway Park. So, of course, every year the attendance record will be broken.

They had to. In National League parks pitchers have to hit. So AL teams have to pull a player and the Sox decided it was better to go for the offense and risk it defensively.

Yeah, I realize that, but Ortiz runs like a one legged cat. Youk's post season stats are pretty impressive. I'd hate to have Ortiz being a lead runner.
