Definitely not an Old Mans car - more like a middle-aged womans car - excellent real estate showing vehicle.

Although a 63yr old Partner at my firm drives one.........

The ES does nothing particulary well nor does it do anything particulary bad - it just does everying good - a car that lakes inspiration and has the personality of cardboard.

I actually like that car and think it looks classy.

It's only an old man's car in the sense that old men are usually the only people who can afford one. In your case, people will probably wonder where you got all that money from, and if you have to live in your mom's basement in order to be able to afford it.

It's funny how if he bought a car like a VW Golf or something no one would say anything. Or some crappy Genesis which will be on the same level as a Tiburon in a few years.

Love the MB E 350 also. IMO, slightly different class of car than an ES350. ES350 falls into the C Class MB, IMO.

Mind you I am 11 years your elder, so you are going to get quite a bit of "Is this your dad's car?" type question.

Well, you might think that way, Lexus doesn't

Their thinking is

IS = C
ES = E
LS = S

The E350 does drive like a boat though. Originally intended for my wife, she is bitching it is too big... she wants a smaller car... like a fucking B class pos.

I would argue old mans car given the suspension (soft and squishy). The car is just bland and really has no driver feedback. Reminds me a smaller and lighter crown vic (especially the steering).

Heh my parents were actually cross shopping the E class also, stepdad though the ride in the non-sport benz was too harsh.... if that doesn't make the ES an old man's car, I don't know will.

Lol, he should have driven one with 16" that would make the E a landboat. My 06 came with 16 and I have winters on those rims. It is very smooth even on crappy Toronto Roads. Summers are on 18 OZ Ultraleggera + Yokohama Advan Sports. Very different feel with those rims+tires. I can turn doing 60kmph while I would not even try for 50 with the 16.

Old man/woman car. Not the quite Lincoln Town Car old but definitely in the same category as Buick or Toyota Avalon old. It's the training wheel before you step up to the Town Car.

Me personally, I'm just upset with moderator Elfenix equating 55 with old man.

You missed this thread by a long shot sir, he already has the ES. I am assuming most of the people responding are on a similar intellectual level which would explain many things

I really liked the ES350 but avoided it since I'm in my 30's for the same "old man label". I figured I could get it when I'm in my 40's or 50's...then again maybe I'll step up to the LS by then. I ended up getting a GS350 instead.

Most Lexus vehicles are driven by an older demographic...with the exception of the IS. When I'm getting our cars serviced at the dealer, everyone in the waiting area is generally alot older.

A Lexus ES 350 is the new Buick. Yes...you have an old man's car.

My wife and I knew a couple who were dating...both in their mid twenties. He owned the original RX300 and she leased ES330. So he pretty much drove the quintessential soccer mom vehicle of suburbia and she drove the an old person's hernia protection. They didn't work out...but they seemed like a match made in heaven based on their car choices.

The Lamry 350 is a Buick.

I sold my A6 because it felt like a Buick.

I drive an S6 so it is not be belly aching in jealousy. That is simply an old man's car.
