I can totally identify with this, but that won't stop me from continuing my trend =P Maybe it's because I feel like this somewhat balances my karma for pirating so many games over the years.

One way to look at it is if you buy 10 games at $5 and play 2 of them, you still are $50 ahead of it you bought those 2 games at $50 list price.

I bought Torchlight and Defense Grid together for ~$10 total. I haven't gotten around to playing Defense Grid yet, but put over 40 hours into Torchlight and it would have cost $20 outside of a Steam sale.

I saved $10 and still have DG to play later when I get around to it.

Buy games cheap now, decide which ones to play and when to play them later.

Apparently it was part of some DLC that EA gave to PC players for free, and it makes everything at the first store free. Which is odd.

Yes, I have played a lot of l4d and l4d2.

I thought about getting killing floor for my kids and I to play over the lan. The killing floor package is $10.17, but I thought about getting just killing floor for $6.79

For $20 ($6.79 X 3) my kids and I could get something to play co-op.

Painkiller I never played, but looks fun, although possibly very dated gfx and gameplay...
I am wondering if I should save this $5 and put it toward LIMBO or Plants vs Zombies.

FEAR, I beat the original, but the FEAR 2 I am not sure about.... Played the demo back when it came out but hated it. Felt too consolized. Any major improvements since then I am not aware of?

Careful! One of those 4 copies will be registered to your new account! The way most 4-packs work is the purchaser keeps one copy and gets three extras to gift.

You might be better off arranging for a friend to buy the 4-pack for you, gift the extras, and just pay him back.

OMG like I didn't have enough of a backlog of games to play as it is... FEAR bundle, STALKER bundle, Borderlands bundle, are all interesting games I've always wanted to play before. Bioshock 1 I just started playing ($5 from the last holiday sale lol) and am liking it so may get Bioshock 2.

I may skip FEAR, because if it's anything similar to Dead Space than I won't even feel like finishing it. Seriously there is only so much "HOLY F**K WHAT WAS THAT JUMPING OUT AT ME?!!" I can enjoy before I realize that I am causing myself vulentary suffering by making myself play it (basically it's a well made horror game).

Is Stalker similar to Fallout 3? If so I won't bother.

Stalker is nothing like FO3. I'd recommend both tbh. I don't think you'll be disappointed w/ STALKER. With that said, you need to install the "Complete Mod" for Stalker before playing. Trust me. It doesn't change the game, just updates, dramatically, the visuals and other non-game changing things that you're going to really appreciate.

Painkiller collection is worth 4 to 5 times that.

Make sure you try to accomplish the level goals so you can collect and use the cards. They help, especially with boss monsters. Also, there are lots of hidden areas and crosses to collect. Some however are nearly impossible without reading up on how to get them.

Another question. I understand that these are intended as Co-op games, but is it ok to play them by yourself?
