2011 Steam Holiday Sale DEAD!

Picked up Portal 2 and Orcs Must Die. Already have Protal 1 from OrangeBox but never started it. Looks like Portal 2 is going to sit there for a loooong time, especially if Skyrim goes on sale

The best publisher deal looks like Ubisoft $70. Some current good games, notably Driver: San Francisco and Might & Magic Heroes VI, also Assassins 2 deluxe.

I think Steam REALLY wants everyone to own Orcs Must Die. It was on sale at release, then again during the "Autumn" sale, then again during the Daily Giveaway sale, and now again during the "Holiday" sale.

They might as well put a note on the game page that says "just buy this damn game already or we're going to keep throwing it at you on sale".

I think Steam REALLY wants everyone to own Orcs Must Die. It was on sale at release, then again during the "Autumn" sale, then again during the Daily Giveaway sale, and now again during the "Holiday" sale.

They might as well put a note on the game page that says "just buy this damn game already or we're going to keep throwing it at you on sale".

AND it's a game you have to play for one of the holiday achievments in the contest.

Bought Mega Indie Bundle and Orcs Must Die. Might have grabbed Dead Island if they didn't dick around with the price like they have done with every sale. You'd think by now they'd figure out their own system.

I'll probably get to it....late summer 2012.....right about the time Steam starts peddling "Orcs Must REALLY Die (This Time)!.....the sequel"

Indie games have little to no advertisement. They need some extra help. Of course, the fact its loads of fun certainly helps a lot.

As for me, I see a bunch of stuff I like, but already purchased it a while back.
I kinda want Fable on Steam so I dont have to meddle with the disc, then I realize I didnt beat it back when I first installed it. Lots of fun but the novelty wears off quickly and I never felt like finishing.
Fable 3 is just crap. Pretty but totally unplayable. Whoever thought up that convoluted menu for the Windows version needs his ass kicked. And we never did get Fable 2 did we?


Nope, I can wait. Am sure the two things I really want will be on sale at some point, if only for 10% off.

Anyone else find it amusing Duke Nukem Forever shot down in price so fast?

Well, today I jumped for Amnesia Dark Descent $4.99 and Fable Lost Chapers $2.49. I wanted to get the Pendulo pack and Singularity, but frankly, every buck counts and those could have been less. I also would have gotten Metro but if I have enough left at the end, THQ's pack is one I might get.

Which reminds me. The increase in pack prices is a little disturbing, are complete packs ever on sale as daily deals? No, right? I mean, sure, small packs are on sale like this Pendulo pack, but complete packs like THQ, 1C, 2K, etc?

I only remember one time a complete pack was on sale as a daily deal. It was like 2 years ago, id pack it was like $23.99 iirc. Though like I said, only time I ever remember a complete pack being a daily deal.

Metro 2033 is a great game and well worth it imo
Fable 3 from everything I heard from others is it is trash mostly and not worth it
I got Bunch of Heros (got in on a 4pack) and I don't care for it. It is basically just a twin stick shooter when you boil it down. If you like those type of games and playing multiplayer coop of it then you'd probably like it I'd guess.

Singularity is a fun ride if you haven't played it yet.

Hmm... sounds like it might be fun. For $2.50 I might grab it, if not just to get the Christmas achievement.

I bought EDGE mostly for the achievement. :$ It's actually one of the more difficult achievements, I had to look up walkthroughs on how to get it.

Also my Steam inventory is still having issues. I got the achievements for both EDGE and Orcs Must Die, and they're not showing up yet.

Steam has me by the balls.

Of course, a lot of games were on sale last month and I still have games from last year's sale I haven't played. Heck I have games from years before that(Portal, HL2 Ep2) I haven't played.

But Fable 3, Portal 2 (even tho didn't care much for Portal), and Just Cause 2 are tempting...
