People, its a play on words/letters, chkin, chicken, you get it? Either way, he's a dirty player, he has too many hits where his goal is to injure.
He may come up high once in a while but his hits are ALWAYS leading with his shoulder. When a 230lb man skating full speed explodes into you with 1 point of impact, it's going to hurt. What do you really expect? You want him to let up 20% or something? If Malkin actually learned to use his size the same way, you'd have absolutely zero issue with having a freight train on your team. Big hits are what keeps players on their toes and causes misplays / leads to untimely icings.
"He's one of those guys that comes down on you one on one and you're actually a little bit scared." - John-Michael Liles
"If he hits you, he hurts you. We're gonna put 3 guys on him." - Lindy Ruff
And from last night:
"Danny and [McDonagh] got banged around a little bit, but they made the plays," Tortorella said. "That's how it's going to be. [The Bruins' Milan] Lucic is going to be coming after them in Boston; a number of people are going to be coming after them. "
