Hossa was a Penguin in '08, and lost to the Wings in the finals.
Hossa was a Wing in '09, and lost to the Pens in the finals.
Both times, he was wholly ineffective in the finals.

Actually I thought he was decent in the 08 finals,

But the point was, his choking in the '09 finals was (at least partly) due to facing his former team. He was booed every time he touched the puck in Pitt, and tried to be a one man team, effectively screwing himself and his linemates.

What the fuck were the pens thinking on that damn powerplay at the end of the 3rd. They deserved to lose this one playing the powerplay like that. Why give them a chance to control the puck on a powerplay? That's all on the coach.

Home teams are 9-1 the 2nd round so far. Sole road win was by Detroit.

The Bruins have to come out with their best two games of the year to win at least one in MSG. With a goalie like Lundqvist they could turn the series around. They're in the same spot as they were against Washington and everyone saw how that ended up.

While that emotional boost can't be ignored the primary gain was that MacLean was able to put his centers back into the slots where they're most effective. Turris gets mad props for his effort while Spezza was out but he really isn't a #1 center.

While ottawa won that game, I don't think their team outplayed the pens. I feel good with the way the pens played and believe if it continues to be played the way they played, the pens will come out on top at the end. Now I believe with the islanders, the pens got lucky as they seemed to be outplaying the pens. Of course who the hell knows if the sens will continue that lucky streak, but I feel more confident pens will come out on top of this series than I felt in the islanders series.

Sens need to score a bunch of goals of Vokoun to force Bylsma to start Fleury.

If they can get Vokou to move east to West they can. He looks so stiff going side to side.
