Okay, got Witcher 2, even though I didn't like 1 much. I kinda want to grab Civ 5 and Skyrim...

Is Civ 5 worthy upgrade to 3 or 4?

Also, I didnt like Obvlion but I loved Morrowind, should I grab Skyrim?

Skyrim is better than Oblivion, but not as good as Morrowind.

There've been a lot of debates about Civ 5. Many say no - that it's missing a lot, not hard enough etc., others say ya, it's more polished, some nice improvements... IMO yes.

There's the new expansion to Civ 5 that adds things... there are a lot of comarisons to google.

Community Choice 'Tiny Big', Legend of Grimrock, or Quantum Conumdrum.

Legend of Grimrock is my favorite of them but has been on sale recently; the other two, though, are only 1/3 off while Grimrock is 60%. The other two got decent reviews.

Leaning toward Quantum. They say it's similar to Portal.

I'm very interested in Batman: AC; in fact it's the game I was most looking forward to with this sale. I'm also curious if any of the DLC's are worth buying. They nearly double the price of the game if you get them all.

Batman AC is much better than the original. Being in the open city is so much more fun. I don't have the dlc, but the main game is very long if you do side quests. Also totally worth $10. I can't imagine buying Arkham Asylum for $7 when City is that price.

Also, it's a tour de force of graphics if you have the card for it. And phsx effects actually are pretty integral to the game, for better or for worse. I think they used phsx for some things dx11 could do, maybe at the insistence of nvidia. Like fog effects. But particle and cloth effects, which are pretty amazing, probably do need phsx.

The mouth movement of the characters is almost scary good. I know this might be a minor point, but I was mesmorized at the facial expressions and lip/jaw movement as the characters talked. It's the best I've ever seen in a game.

What's the verdict on Dead Island? I remember the consensus being that it was a rushed port. Is it better now?

I bit on this game (hah) when its price dropped, and was very disappointed didn't get far before I stopped playing it and eventually uninstalled.

There is just so much better stuff out there.

Now that is some good times for your money right there. They still look surprisingly good and do a lot more with physics and environmental interaction than one would think for a six year old game.

Very little money spent so far by me. I guess I went overboard on the last Xmas sale and got everything that I wanted.

I picked up ChoplifterHD and Gotham City Imposters (and a few DLC) because I felt like I had to spend a least a few bucks. I've wanted to try GCI for a while so I guess now is the time.

Got the Civ Complete bundle. May have been a mistake but I owned none of them and I wanted both Civ 4 and 5.

FFS, I came home from having a few beers with neighbors the other night and for a reason I can only attribute to either slight intoxication or the onset of dementia combined with a sale price right around three bucks, I bought From Dust completely missing the fact that it's an Ubisoft game.

Trying to install it today, I see that I need to create a UPLAY account to play. Which I cannot. Because their servers are down. Thus I can't play.

They really did turn to shit as everyone says. My own fault for not paying attention, but still. Should've bought tacos instead.
