Time for my yearly Superbowl predictions
If you recall I did pretty well last year - I picked Green Bay most importantly.
This year however, my psychic vision is not so clear. However, I do still see the Packers as the best team in the league. I think we'll see a lot of the usual suspects in the playoffs.
In fact, I'm predicting the same Superbowl I did last year...
Green Bay vs New England
Green Bay might be even better than last year's team, which had lots of injuries. While Tom Brady has so many great targets to pass to and a nice Offensive line.
I think Green bay will defeat the Falcons in the NFC Championship game while New England will triumph over The Jets in the AFC. Then again I never was good at picking AFC/NFC champ games, just the superbowl.
But I predict the Winner of the Superbowl this season will be...Green Bay for the repeat! Repeating is obviously no easy task but the Pack are just too good all around.
Random predictions:
The Eagles a dream team? Not so fast...
Watch Vick throw interception after interception and the Eagles struggle to make the playoffs despite having an easy schedule...then lose in the first round. The Eagles management will regret giving Vick a 100 Million dollar contract.
Houston Texans finally making the playoffs? Well...
Sorry Texans fans
Every year for the last 6 years people have picked the Texans as their "sleeper" team to make the playoffs, and for the last 6 years (not to mention every year since the franchise was born), they have missed the playoffs. I foresee the same being true for this season. It's not their offense that's the problem. They will flirt with a playoff spot and come up short as usual. EDIT - 9/7/2011: bleh, now with Manning being iffy for the season it looks like the Texans will probably win the division afterall. So just forget what I said about them earlier
Detroit Lions finally making the playoffs?
Why, yes! For the first time in 13 years the Lions will make the playoffs, as a wildcard.
Of course all above predictions are based on players/teams staying healthy which is never guaranteed in the NFL. Also all predictions are subject to change before the season opener, might also throw in some other random predictions. Once the season starts, all my predictions are then set in stone.
Who do you see in the Superbowl this season?
