2013 Steam Autumn Sale: DEAD!!

I wish I could find a good deal on a wireless 360 controller for Windows to go along with all of these console ports I've bought. The wire on my current 360 controller gets annoying.

Don't forget the wireless requires an adapter to have it work on the PC. At least that was the case the last time I checked. I ended up getting a wired because of the additional cost.

Great spotting! This game was mid-pack of my list of games to get. But at $5!! I doubt it will go much lower than that for at least a couple years right?

Though I wonder if the Game Of The Year Edition is worth it? (likely not for me as I wouldn't bother with the extra content since I have such a backlog of other games)

how can i see what my friend bought today? He left me a voice mail and said he got stuff and i should be able to see what it was on steam, but i don't see that he bought anything.

he's not going to be available for awhile so can't just call him right now.

normally you can see on the right side what other people bought but don't see that during the sale. doesn't show anything in profile but what games he played recently and there isn't anything new there.

For DX:HR, make sure it's the "Directors Cut" as that integrates the Missing Link and bonus mission DLC into the main story.

For Max Payne 3, I believe it requires the installation of Rockstar Social Club.

I'd skip borderlands 1 and go straight for 2 with all dlc when it gets cheap enough for you.

Max Payne 3 was terrible, and at most 10 hours plus it is a pain to get the social club to work on the steam version. You cannot get to any menu without getting past the social club login.

Well you probably won't see the game go this low again till the Christmas sale. You do know that you don't have to download the game at the time of purchase, right? You could just purchase the game and download it later when you have cap available or you've switched ISPs. I would highly recommend the switching ISP route .

Didn't read your comment in time, but I'm surprised as Max Payne 3 got such high ratings. I'll hope that the social club thing is not so bad so that I can at least my $4 worth. I just want to play the campaign rather than the multiplayer.

Campaign requires social club. The game is just a somewhat involved action monologue. Shoot perps, cut scene, suddenly do some more shooting, longer cut scene, do some running around, shoot 400 dudes, cut scene. I went in expecting good stuff, but was ready for it to be over by 3/4 the way through and it has no replay value. Uninstalled, not gonna bother downloading 30gb of that again.

Thought about that, but 14 GB is still a huge cut out of 80 GB cap. A single 4 GB movie cuts us close, then it's $2/GB.

... Ya, I'm going to start inquiring about the better ISP I found. This is stupid.

It's $35 on Amazon.ca for PC, unfortunately. PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are $20, but I no longer have either.

I should have done that for Van Helsing.

I bought it, then I clicked install and it showed... it's a 21GB game. I downloaded it anyway but I just busted my monthly bandwidth cap by 11GB in doing so, that's going to add a few extra bucks on this month's bill. But it was worth it, I played it a good six hours or so just like I did with Torchlight II. I like this autumn sale (my wallet doesn't, however).

I have to disagree. To me, B1 was a lot better than B2.

B2 was like a console port to the pc. It seemed just too scripted for my taste.

B1 had its badparts, but it was overall a solid game.

I think describing Max Payne 3 as terrible is unfair, but it won't be to everyone's taste. It's like playing a stylized action movie; whether or not you like that experience will depend on your individual preference. I paid $10 for MP3 and I thought it was certainly worth that price. You got it for even cheaper.

I was about to nab that one... then saw it had no quick saves, just checkpoints and promptly closed the window, $10 is too much for it then.

But managed to get Skyrim LE for $20 so thats all good

I picked it up yesterday, and have been having a lot of fun going thru the campaign.

the Easy AI should be good for you, just like in the console versions.

Hmmm... GTA 4 is also available with MP3 for $8. So, MP3 + GTA4 or LA Noire? I've not played any of these games (and probably won't for a long while after I buy them).
