Jumped on Borderland 2 just because I heard so much talk about it here (no idea what it plays like but sure it looks interesting).

Yea...my first casualty, i.e. buying a game just because it's on Steam sale.

I enjoyed it. There are some annoying parts in it but it was a cool game with nice graphics. It is like 3-4 hours long unless if you want to 100% it.

Damnit! Now I feel dirty voting for it. Everyone and their mother already owns Left 4 Dead 2, and who the heck would pay $20 for a game at a Steam sale, so I voted for the cheap one. :$

Well I grabbed the swapper (good review, first I saw it) and pker night 2 (Gladys is a player, that sealed it). Thinking about trackmania, I like easy/arcadey/fun racers more.

The only DLC I'd say get is the Tomb of the Lost Adventurer since it is a single player thing. The other DLC is either multiplayer stuff/cosmetic/or stuff you actually unlock while playing single player.

A question on Tomb Raider, I have the Tomb of Lost Adventurer DLC but no idea how to play it. Is it built into the main quest storyline (somewhere on a map) or is there a separate section to start it?

It's definitely trademark issues. Paramount basically forced them to change the game's title because of the recent World War Z movie.

I'd have to play it to do that, I last played a game during the sale after getting it, let's see, not sure I have I'll probably grab it, it looks pretty fun though I don't like many racers.

Since so many people want to know how it is and no one appears to own it, I bought it. I'll give it a shot once it's done downloading; it's only ~1GB, so that's not much.

EDIT:

I gave it a try, and it's okay. The game requires you to log into the whole ManiaPlanet thing, which I'm not a huge fan of, but you can register right there. There is single player as well as multi-player. Although, the controller support isn't that great. In this day and age, you really suspect good 360 controller support with games. :\ Oh, and it's definitely more on the arcade side of racing. There are boost strips, jumps, etc. Your car also takes damage for hitting things.

The combat isn't really noteworthy. In fact, it is really frustrating.. especially when you are being hounded by numerous enemies.

That said, yes. The narrative is its strongest part.. and the atmosphere adds to it a lot. It provides a totally different POV of a war and is really interesting... even if you feel bored stick with it until the end.

Trackmania is completely arcadey.
