Don't do it. Friends don't let friends buy Star Trek. It has such a low score for a reason (and it isn't just the bugs).

At its current price just buy it now. It's an absolutely fantastic game; the best 2D platformer in at least a decade. Plus this gets you prepped for Rayman: Legends, which is due in September.

Rayman Legends will include a lot of Origin's levels too, just as an FYI.

Hmm as much negativity as I've spouted off about this game, it might come as a surprise that I'm considering getting Fable III! The main thing is that the game may have a really bad story and poor changes in the gameplay mechanics from the predecessors, but the slowdowns on the 360 just make it even worse. Although, you really get hit with a double-whammy of suckage: SecuROM and GFWL.

I'm tempted too...I enjoyed fable 2 quite a bit but keep hearing nothing but bad things about 3...

Unrelated but Farcry 3 (boxed) is $19.99 at Amazon. Doubt anyone is interested, but for the purist that want the disk, that's cheaper than I've seen it elsewhere even as digital. (Note that the gooncave code does not work).

I bought BF3 for $30 at a Christmas 2011 sale, then got it again for $10 from Origin, haven't played it yet, but lost track of the DLC I thought I bought, so...

Guess I figured I'd resell the boxed copy, but I never get around to reselling these things, they pile up. Did the same thing with HoMM 6 and others.

Fable 3 wasn't any better or worse than the other 2 IMO.. They all kinda seem like the same game honestly.

I played through it on console when it first came out.. Had to pick it up + DLC on the steam sale for like $6 why not?

I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, just entertain me enough to have an enjoyable time getting through it. I feel like it met my expectations.

Doesn't BF3 require Origin, regardless of whether or not you buy the boxed version? Doesn't make any sense to buy the game twice. I don't think you'd be able to resell the boxed copy because you've already used the activation key from it.

Trials Evolution is absolutely, positively phenomenal.


I have not been this satisfied with a video game in a long time. Especially coming from Trials 2 - which is the only other Trials game available on PC - Trials Evolution is like an order of magnitude better. It is far-and-away, vastly more fun.

Aside from the better controls, better graphics, and better physics, the environments are just awesome. Some of the levels make me laugh with glee. This game is tits.

If you're into Trials-style games at all, I strongly implore you to buy Trials: Evolution. It's worth the $10 price tag.
