I don't know how we've gotten this far into the sale without Dishonored going on sale (other than the stock 50%). I did pick up AC:Revelations earlier which I've been enjoying. I should have grabbed AC3 also while those were on sale; if they come back around I'll probably do that.

With the way this sale is going don't count on it. Thoroughly disappointed so far.

The 4 indie games I want are; Contrast, Transistor, The Swapper and Gunpoint. Only Contrast has had a community sale which was 66%, but that's been on sale for 75% in a previous sale so a big wtf.

Autosport is definitely a lot better than GRID 2, and is much closer to GRID 1. Actually in some ways it is better than GRID 1 (mainly in the vehicle handling). It's a solid racing game, I'd easily recommend it.

Honestly GMG and Humble store has had better deals on many games than Steam this sale (during the same period but they are over for the most part now).

The worst part of this sale for me is that I can't download anything that I buy. If I go over 300GB, which Comcast has already alerted me that I'm at 90%, I have to pay an extra $10 per 50GB. That kinda cuts into the great deal prices when some games can be upwards of 15-30GB. It makes me glad that my area is discussing a potential municipal broadband solution.

Yep. I just bought it, and it does stack. They also gave me Canyon Capers as my free game. I've never heard of it, but it's $7 retail, so... not bad!

I'm thinking as this continues lawsuits are going to be popping up all over. If they are going to be a monopoly, it should not be allowed. It is a fake watermark who's only intention is padding coffers.

how is secret world?

haven't played it in a while but I enjoyed the game for the 2 months I played it around the time it was first released

combat is hardly ground breaking but I think it allows you different specs to play with

it's probably low population nowadays, but the game can be played mostly as single player but in a MMO environment when you want to make use of it

production values aren't bad. get animated & voice acted quests. puzzle missions are the star of the game for some people. example, some puzzle missions require understanding of cryptography methods.

You guys are funny, you act like the $2 difference is going to make or break you on a $7 game and then seriously get pissy about the sale not being enough (hint, the getting pissed is the funny part, if you reply to my comment ignoring the part where you are a FWP douche then you missed the point). We have self claimed millionaires in ATOT and then we have people who have to hold a sign up at the corner for money or do chores for mom in the gaming section. Is that last $1.80 savings you are holding out for going to be the difference in how early you can retire? Or how many more Doritos locos tacos you can get?

Be glad you never grew up in the 80's when cartridge games were $40+ with adjusted inflation that makes games today $70+

Well, thought about picking up Anno 2070, have always thought it look pretty cool. But UPlay? ... No thanks. Maybe I'll get Banished? Was thinking about wanting it around 5-4.99 before I went in, but maybe at 7.99?

same issue with Anno for me--always wanted it, but UPlay.

Only thing that looks good for me today is Company of heroes 2, for 10 bucks. I just don't spend much time with RTS as I used to, though.

UPlay is fine now, honestly. It's a little more cumbersome than Steam and Origin, but it's fine. It's exponentially better than it was a few years ago. Been using it with FC4 and it's not an issue. Don't get me wrong, I still hate it, but I stopped fighting a while ago and it's only gotten easier to deal with it.

uPlay when launched through Steam is really just a little pop-up Window. It's not that bad.

However, I still don't care much for stand-alone uPlay. My biggest qualm is that I have no idea what state my game is in. For example, when Assassin's Creed: Unity launched and received numerous updates, what happened with my game? I never saw any indication that it received an update, but I assume uPlay kept it up to date? How big were the updates? I already downloaded a 42GB game, and I may not want to update it now given I am limited to 300GB of bandwidth usage (download + upload) per month without paying extra.

In regard to recent changes in UPlay, really? The most popular reviews on Steam are all huge negatives with regards to inability to play often due to UPlay. These were posted in November. A very vocal minority of users with issues?

Not sure...I play Rocksmith regularly and Uplay is pretty much invisible now. Maybe it just depends on the game.

I will say it's f'ing pointless since none of these so called cloud service front ends actually back up your saves, which makes them pretty much useless bloatware. That only exist for advertising and DRM.

I don't know the right answer, but I'll say that it's easily possible for a sort of mob approach to these things where people just go on crusades for no good reason; or they might be right.
