I too have my suspicions, they certainly would be good sport enough to allow such a thing, but they also had a strong push in the Marathon at the end, with a Bronze Medal and 10 points on the line versus 3 points and no medal had they pursued us.

But regardless, WOW! I don't play poker, but would this winning hand be called a five of a kind? Too bad this wasn't the 7th annual Pentathlon, in which we finished with straight 7's.

Hats off to another competitor though, for also completing the challenge with all the same scores, SETI.USA with straight Gold. Oh, and a 3rd team, SETI.Bitola, finished with 5 of a kind also.

In poker it would be called "cheating".

In certain dice games it would be called "Yahtzee", if the dice had more than 6 sides.

Wow, I haven't heard the refrigerator in a long time. I thought I had forgotten to shut down one of the fleet or something. It's so....quiet.... in here....no wonder it's almost 3am and I'm awake, lol.

Also, thank you to @Markfw for borrowing a lot of resources out of your cancer research pool to the Asteroids run. Upcoming FB sprint excepted, I am switching to WCG MCM for the rest of the month, instead of switching all off to keep the bills in check.

So I returned from travel 1.5 hours before the end of the Pentathlon, was satisfied that the house hasn't burnt down meanwhile, had a quick look at boinctasks (no stuck uploads, PG and Asteroids all done, only NumberFields still running for several more hours, and one or another SZTAKI task queued), did not look at any internet site (neither AnandTech, nor Pentathlon; I was offline when I was away too), and went to bed.

What a surprise to be greeted by a 7,7,7,7,7 = 7 score this morning! Amazing.

All projects endured throughout valiantly. A big thank you to those responsible for all their support throughout."

(Re project stability: NumberFields@home had a hard time to keep up during the first few hours, and Asteroids@home had hours during which no tasks were available. But nothing major, IMO. Universe@Home was coming out of a period of project inactivity, then was running a beta application with some initial bugs not long before Pentathlon, but AFAICS almost nobody was affected by the last resends of old buggy WUs during the Pentathlon. Rosetta@home and PrimeGrid were stable as to be expected; especially PrimeGrid is not known for outages, application bugs, or weird outliers among their WUs — to this youngster DCer at least.)

This is also* the best performance for TeAm AnandTech this far. 5 times rank 7 tells us just about everything we need to know. I had to go back to 2010 to find an equally good ranking. And wouldn’t you know, it was rank 7. This year their strength was their stability and was rightfully rewarded. To add, it’s interesting to see how they got better year on year since 2015. Their rivals should keep them on their radar!"
